Jim Watt needs to be sacked, blamed the jaw from the off despite the fact burns always fights like this. Crawford is no mitchell or a washed up katsidis, and burns just wasn't good enough and that's the bottom line

Beltran-Crawford next?

Disagree, everytime he got caught with anything he looked worried, there was definitely something strange going on with Burns, didn't look right in my view.

But fair enough if you think that WHU.

Beltran-Crawford probably will be next to be honest. Both have same promoters too.

Crawford totally schooled Burns, but I was a little disappointed with Crawford.

Hoping for a unification bout with Vazquez or Abril later in the year.

But Burn's chin isn't as good as people say it is, he's been decked and hurt lots and crawford is a puncher, of course he's gonna get hurt if he squares up and takes the full force of the shots

Another world champion bites the dust, think it's time for Burns to retire now as he's lost more than a step, he's looked poor in his last 3 fights now.

Watt is so irritating. Chooses a boxer then bullies the other by saying anything he can to discredit everything. Ricky's jaw. Ricky's lack of commitment. Not the real Ricky Burns. Ricky Burns is x and y. Shut up Watt.

I'm no Burns fan, have never been. Crawford outworked and out fought him tonight, but give the man Burns some credit - he's been a credit to boxing and Scotland for some time.

Wasn't overly impressed by Crawford, I think if he fought Gamboa, Abril or Figueroa he'd get beaten right now, credit to Burns, he gave it his best shot but it wasn't enough.

Surely you've just proven that Burns chin is as good as people say it is, either Burns has a chin or Crawford isn't a puncher.

Crawford gets found out by a slick boxer. Nothing flash. Burns is gone should retire now. I've enjoyed watching him though and wish him well. Top man and achieved a lot for the ability hes had.

I must say I haven't seen a lot of Burns fights but to me it seems (I may be wrong here) but his heart just isn't in it anymore. He is too timid and doesn't seem to want to open up and once you go down that route as a boxer then you may as well hang up the gloves. Still how many of us can say they have been world champion.

I see where you're coming from but think it ls based on recent performances culminating in how ineffectual he looked tonight , rather than how just the fact that he lost.

MFC

Burns just doesn't look like the fighter he did a couple of years back, he's seem to be regressing at a rapid rate, he's achieved everything he could and more. It's more a case of getting out at the right time instead of trying to halt the inevitable slide back into the domestic scene something he's too good for.

I've given him three but the definitive ones have gone to Salido, and we're in his territory now.

The unknowns were what made this fight so interesting, and we're knowing much more as time goes by.

I thought Merchant had retired. Every time Colonel Bob asks him anything Larry takes a long pause and says he doesn't know. And who's Christina?

Salido looked so tired.

Gotta respect Loma for doing that in his second fight, however Garcia won every second of every round against Salido, he needed more experience.
