It was a joke Mysti. I still think Gmac's reaction was priceless.

I don't mind the principle of the crowd shouting out, I just wish they were a little more imaginative with what they shout. I think the atmosphere at golf events is so poor because they crowd don't seem involved with the action. Quite literally all they do is spectate.

I don't think it was for the shout, Gmac had just seen Poulter on the tee opposite...

Westy is going nowhere mate. Poults will also get though.
And roses back 9 was pretty decent . Just a bad start.(level for the last 15 holes i think)
The likelihood of all 3 bailing out is big. Then add the others

Lynn wont make the cut, nor will Lukey. I hope a few do, will be less interesting to watch otherwise. Maybe Westy and Rose will make it, 86 today for Poulter....(which means probably a 66)

The young lad did play really nicely as well and has a fighting chance- his birdie on 11 was immense
Donald and Lynn have literally no chance admitted. but the others. You cant discount them. There games are not that bad and certainly westys in particular could be close to being back.

Westy could have shot 90 and you would still be seeing the positives Mysti, and fair play.
Think for me its now a case of he no longer enters a major as one of the guys you would expect to win, not that he can't win one, but the days of him being a nailed on contender are gone sadly.

I see the American clothing company, American Apparel are going down the old Benetton way of controversial ads. They have a half-naked former Muslim model (an overdeveloped girl from an underdeveloped country) in their latest ad. They also had mannequins that had pubic hair. I guess as with Golf Digest's cover, sex and controversy sells.

Had to laugh yesterday when TPFKAM (the poster formerly known as Maverick) tweeted that his eldest daughter was to be dancing during the half time break at this weekend's Wasps match .. Presumably that's after she wins the Women's US Open championship

So the World Cup is creeping up and, here's my England side Id like to see start.
Hart, Johnson, Cahill, Jones, Baines, Gerrard, Henderson (or Wilshire or Barkley), Stirling, Lalana, Rooney, Sturridge.
Not bad at all if Hodgdon lets them have a go, certainly a lot more optimistic than a year ago, not to win, but I feel that side could play some good stuff.
Fair play to Rodgers,he's done wonders with Henderson and Stirling, take the heart of that Liverpool side and you have a good unit.
Issues are at centre back for me really, I'm not sold on either of my choices, maybe Jagielka comes on if he's fit?
Of course chances are we play super defensive but Roys got nothing to lose really so we can at least dream.

Re: Another Drive4show 'Anything goes' thread
That is my team bar Jones.
I would play terry or even carrick instead.
I think carrick has that senior mentality that the combination of Jones and Cahill don't.
Obviously he is a DM first but that is all he is at united anyway and when pushedback in to DC recently he has been very good . IF Roy won't bring terry that is who I would play anyway

Re: Another Drive4show 'Anything goes' thread
Id be a bit worried about his lack of pace and ability really Mysti, he does read the game brilliantly though.
I think Jones will turn out to be a good centre back, he has all the attributes, and I'm still seeing this as a development tournament, only Stevie G in the side as an old man and he deserves his place on form easily, and as skipper and also that he knows how to take a penalty.
My big miss is Walcott, he's developed so much in the past year or so, would have helped to be able to change the shape of the side when needed.

Yep huge miss to us and arsenal.
When Walcott has played in the last couple of Yeats he has averaged the most goals and assist per minutes. He also gives you straight away a plan b.
Ox can come close to getting behind defenders but nothing like Walcott.
I am with you on the rest of the side. Liverpool based and add lallana who has great technical ability.

Re: Another Drive4show 'Anything goes' thread
Not much disagreement from moi.
I think Hodgson will choose Jagielka over Jones, possibly using Jones as a "12th man" off the bench as circumstances dictate.
And I wouldn't play Sterling AND Sturridge.
Hart, Johnson, Cahill, Jags, Baines, Gerrard, Carrick or Milner, Henderson, Lallana, Rooney and Sturridge for me.
I wouldn't even take Wilshere unless he can prove his fitness before the squad is picked.
Adam Lallana would be the first outfield player I'd choose.

Milner has been a brilliant sub for man citeh.and although potentially wasted this season as one. I think Roy will use him the way citeh do.
He totally changed citeh the other day v Liverpool and also away to Bayern.
He has proved it against the best two teams citeh have faced this year.

PS: I would also make sure Gareth Barry is on the plane and make doubly sure Frank Lampard stays at home so that Hodgson is not tempted to play Gerrard and Lampard together, it's never worked and never will.
Barry has been terrific this year and plays really well with Gerrard.
Agree Ox should be on the plane, Michael Dawson too, but I'd send guys like Smalling, Cleverley, Townsend and Welbeck to their island in the sun for a good holiday, as far away from the team as possible.

Barkley?
Bags of talent but seems injury prone. It'll be interesting to see if he plays tonight.
I'd take him as he seems as if he'll turn in to the real deal.
Digs:
Last chance saloon time for your boys this week, wouldn't you think? It seems from 3,000 miles away that Poyet has never figured out his best team, and he seems destined to start throwing clubs anytime soon. Big turnover, again, in the close season. Poor Fletcher, he can't stop getting relegated.
Amazing Adam Johnson's involvement in over 50% of the goals since he returned to the team, but sometimes doesn't even start.

Kwini, I looked at our fixtures list after we beat Newcastle and thought we'd go down.
I'm actually quite happy with the Championship to be honest, least you won a few games. Hopefully Gus stays and gets the chance to build a side.
Big cheers in our house are for Bournemouth, Dad in laws a season ticket holder, would love to see them make the play offs though probably a long shot as its so tight.

Diggs.
The championship is the best league in the world.
Tbh although I went to Wembley last year and loved the buzz of going up. The whole season with palace being able to play real football was great. The next day the dread and realisation of not being able to compete in the PL hit me.
Of course no one would have predicted we would sign pulis and stay up(probally)
But it is a bit gutting to have to park the bus every game just to stay up.

Yeah agree totally Mysti, Premiership is great if you are a big club and I love watching the massive games like Sundays, but for the smaller clubs there is a certain inevitability that trouble will come along one day.
For me it was a no brainier that Id have taken winning the league cup over staying up, so many see it differently though.

Digs,
When I win the lottery and buy PFC, the first thing I'm going to do is nick Bournemouth's manager!
Tho' Andy Awford has been doing a fine job and I see another PFC alum, Kit Symons, is one of the masterminds of the Fulham Academy which is supposed to be top class.
Only thing with Prem vs Champers is that some clubs should always be in the Prem and thriving - and Sunders is one of them, great infrastructure, super crowds, but in all my (way too many) years of following the game they've always been a yo-yo team, a la WBA and Leicester. Not good enough, Wearside surely deserves better?

Wickham is made for the Championship, not enough pace or guile for the Prem, not yet anyway but he's still young.
We are yoyo Mysti, I think we've always had problems attracting really good players, not the same kudos as the dirty Magpies, mind you they are in free fall as well, Pardew for the chop maybe?

Sunderland love beating man city. My concern is that Chelsea will win the league..and no one likes Chelsea. City have equalised now. Tony pulis must be manager of the year. Watched palace at stoke earlier this season and they were awful.
