If we beat WBA at the weekend we should be safe. Massive massive massive game
Albion to win with a late Berahino winner, he then does the whole boxing the corner flag celebration to show he's over being given a good slapping by Jimmy Morrison after the Cardiff game.
At least I hope so anyway
Gotta be honest the worst I see for us is a draw, for as good awful as we are away were pretty good at the Carra
Plus you know you guys suck and we usually do well against you guys

West Brom players now fighting each other and threatening to sue one and other. Christ, the scary thing is they might stay up. No justice in the game, if that's the case, well if Sunderland and Palace go down then i suppose there is!

What is happening at West Brom? They were considered one of the best run clubs in the country and now look like they're falling apart. Pepe Mel was a poor choice of manager, might have been better off getting in a caretaker first if they wanted to appoint a continental choice to take them forward. Ridiculously difficult task for Mel to change the style of the side and get results under those circumstances.

They announced a profit at the shareholders meeting a few weeks ago, however their chairman has come out last May and said they are a mid table Championship club punching above their weight and it was inevitable that they'd fall away eventually. How the hell does that make the players and coaches feel when their chairman is saying stuff like that?

They don't spend because as far as their chairman is concerned though, they're punching well above their weight. What he needs to do is put some investment in to the club and keep them in the Premier League because if he doesn't do it this summer, they'll be exactly where he feels they should be.

Exactly, I can see them signing a bunch of Championship players next season. If that treatment of Berinho is true its disgraceful as well, he's a young lad who's made a mistake.

It was naive mistake by Berahino, but hardly worth getting in a fight over, he was trying to kill the game off. Can see him leaving now, there will be lots of Championship clubs snooping around for him.

Hardly worth getting in a fight over???
If he ran it into the corner Cardiff are down now, and WBA are bouncing into a winnable fixture at Norwich. As it is he wasted all the hard work of his team mates and has further plunged WBA into trouble.
If the reports are true and he was a cocky so and so about it then I can't blame one of the senior guys for lumping him. Should imagine emoitins were running pretty high in that dressing room post game

Yeah it was a basic under 10 mistake. Why on earth did he do that ill never know. He has A LOT to learn about the game. If i ever did that in a game, i wouldn't be able to look at myself in the mirror again.

You see experienced footballers make similar mistakes all the time, under hit back passes, needless fouls etc. This is a young player, in a massive game who made a silly decision, the pressure in this game would have been massive, do your games have that pressure Nick?

Re: Barclays Premier League 13/14 Thread Part 'x'
I think that it's an accumulation of things with Berahino that came to a head after the Cardiff game.
He was said to have attitude problems when he was out on loan a few years back(Brentford sent him back after he tweeted about Rosler) and it was only after Mulumbu had a word with him at the start of this season did he get his head in shape.
However, since he's become some sort of "starlet" problems have started. The messing around over the contract, the talk of bigger clubs being in for him and a close friendship with Anelka seem to have changed him again. Since he signed his new deal, he's piled on weight, not muscle either and the attitude has returned. That attitude has peed off the senior players and it boiled over, after Berahino initially refused to shoulder any blame/show any contrition for his mistake.
I wanted to level him after what he did on Saturday, so good on Morrison. It's just a shame no-one levelled him after, cos he's been awful for 18 months.

Good to see Odemwingie pitching in on the Berahino thing. Odemwingie said on Twitter: "I see a repeat of my situation if he doesn't leave this summer. Senior pros haha."

No Benteke till Christmas, probably after Christmas. Could be massive, all you need to do is look at how we suffered when our main attacking threat was out. In the battle at the bottom its all about those percentages.

Tbf they should have Kozak back for the start of next season and have Helenius as backup as well, guys who play in a similar mould to Benteke. Unlike you guys who had Maiga

Good point, Kozak looks a decent player on the glimpses i've had, although if neither adapt to the Prem in first team football then it will be a similar situation. Id expect them to be fine however, Gabby and Weimann add some goals

Kozak was actually playing better than Benteke at the point he got injured iirc and as you say they have Gabby and Weimann as well
Villa actually been pretty unlucky with long term injuries this season, N'Zogbia, Okore, Kozak and now Benteke all long term

As i said, would hope he starts Helenius saturday.
Was impressive pre season.
Been ok in parts I've seen him this season.
One of our big problems is we don't score enough goals from mid field
Delph, Westwood etc need to chip in more.

Only blessing for Tekkers is he's young, has a few world cups and euro champions to play.
Wont be the same though after that injury.

The fact is, they made a mistake, they have taken steps to stop it happening again. And they confessed. What I find more interesting is how easily the Premier League let these things slip by them.

Is Ji the player who scored that last minute winner against Man City a few years ago? I don't know why but i went fuc*ing mental when that went in, one of my favorite prem goals, think Martin Tyler is to thank.
Even so Sunderland have broken a rule. Points deduction should 100% be forced.
