You're just contrary for the sake of it Ent, we look so much better when RVP isn't playing, play a roaming three of Mata, Kagawa and Januzaj/Welbeck behind Rooney and we'll carve most teams open. The against the big boys drop Kagawa and bring in a more defensive minded player.

Re: Barclays Premier League 13/14 Thread Part 'x'
This is just a massive game at Cardiff. As much as I doubted Palace at the start of the season, I was honestly cheering for them when they just scored because I am now wanting them to stay in the PL ever since Pulis has taken over. But reporters are already saying it is going to keep Palace in the PL, not yet for me. If they can get one more win and collect a couple of draws somewhere, that should then be enough. But its time to recap for Cardiff. As I'm expected, should they go down which is much more likely, the fingers will be pointed at Vincent Tan for his decisions. I've always stood by my opinion saying that they should have never sacked Mackay and I still will. He wanted something different did Tan and wanted to change things, he certainly did and it has backfired into what looks like a relegation place set for them now. When Mackay left, he was a point above the relegation zone, now, Solksjaer is 6 points behind Norwich as it stands. He has lost 7 points on his relegation rivals. That is poor as a manager, experienced or not.
But, what a huge goal that is there for Fulham. Much needed goal. Can they do it? This is how much a win means at the bottom. At this stage now, you gt a win, the question is: 'Can they still stay up?'. That saying, Fulham are still 5 points behind with 5 games left. Its tough for any of those 3. But there has been drama, don't rule anything out. But my prediction is the bottom 3 will stay how it is. Likely from 17th - 11th will chop and change.

The sucker punch for Cardiff. 0-3 now against Palace. I think you know you have gone when you lose to what everyone predicted this Palace side to finish bottom. So then, is this 1 up and 3 down this weekend?

Great goal to finish it off.
Asks a lot of questions about Rooney this game, mata and kagawa have been great in those spaces he monopolises.
Good performance after a quiet opening 30 minutes. Mind you Newcastle are awful and will be worrying about relegation next season.

Newcastle United in turmoil now. 0-4 against Man United. All be it, one of the best away teams in the league (if not the best, not 100% sure on that fact). But 0-4 at home is embarrassing.

Newcastle will be fine next season, they switched off the moment they had nothing to play for, selling Cabaye hasn't helped but it's not the end of their world.
I'll admit I really like the look of Mata and Kagawa next to each other, the pair are so comfortable on the ball and seem to have immediately built up an understanding. It's easy to forget we're talking about the former best player in Germany two years running and Chelsea's best player two years running.

On another note look at the league table, how awful is the premier league?
The bottom 10 are mostly rank bad sides who can't do the basics.
Newcastle, spurs and a poor united side are in the top half.
Grim times.

Bournemouth on form. But we have one of the best records away from home in the division. A tight game for a play off place next week. 4 teams on 58 points, we are on 63 points. Win next week for us, Bournemouth are out of it, I can see one of the other 3 teams dropping points as well. Huge now in the fight for Top 6.

Ah, if only the home form had been a bit better..... Still, I'm delighted with that result. Hopefully that sets the team up for midweek but even if they do go out, I can see Utd doing very well for the rest of the season carrying on into next.

They are set to lose remy, Ben arfa and colocinni this summer.
A host of rank teams will probably save them but a slump in form is hard to arrest.

I might be being overly optimistic but there are definite signs that we have the makings of a quality side, we need a few reinforcements in the summer but that's mainly in central midfield and defensively, in an attacking sense we're pretty much there. Kroos, Shaw and an experienced centre half would be ideal. The Special Juan wrote:Ah, if only the home form had been a bit better..... Still, I'm delighted with that result. These aren't rank teams Ent, they're teams playing in a league where the top four and United have a lot of money and the other teams will have to take chances with their transfers. As such, inconsistency is consistent.
I want to know what Premier League you think you watched that had 20 amazing teams of your standards.
Massive for Palace, safe. Massive for Cardiff, down. Fulham live to fight another day, if Norwich struggle with Fulham again then it all spins on its head. With Palace and Hull to play at home, both of which will be safe, they could survive this. Of the three down there, Fulham were not the one I thought could survive

Plenty of stupid pundits questioning goal line technology again. They obviously don't know the rules. The whole ball has to be over the line and therefore there would be 'grass' between the ball and the line.

There wouldn't necessarily be grass between the ball and goal line, if I touch a wall then no part of me is inside the wall if that makes sense.

The teams don't have to be amazing but there are some god awful sides currently. Add that to a below par top 4 and you've a pretty poor league overall.

You need to look at the actual pictures as there is a certain error within goal line technology, all that pic tells you is that the goalref says it wasn't over.
Still it's the same for everyone.

Expected win . winning by 3is decent.
That puts palace on about an even GD since pulls took over and again no loss against a bottom half team.

No. There is definitely a fraction of the ball that hasn't gone over the line. But it's everyone's opinion. But the technology doesn't lie I'm afraid. But now this has brought up to a debate, I can see what the next argument against it will be.

So united top 8 in Europe. Still in yet 7th in the league tells you its a bad league Lol..
All 4 getting in to top 16. 2 played the best two teams in the world and went out.
Southampton would smash the mothers out of every bundes team bar Bayern and Dortmund (if they sort them selves out)
High quality league but without the top 3 teams.
Our top players are just more spread out.

You do realise hawkeye has a 3.6mm error margin? That's 1.6% of the balls diameter. The 6 cameras also have to be able to track 25% of the ball.
The technology isn't fullproof, still images are generated from the hawkeye cameras.

Aye,
strange though, considering United have started playing a lot better recently.
Time to be a bit more positive.
mata coming on so much since rvp has gone out injured- and the team playing well without the help from Rooney for once..
Thing's are starting to get back on track. You have an amazing away record. I wouldn't put it past you beating bayern. You arnt favs, far from it, but still you have a shot
