When you look at the squads/teams on paper you have to wonder how city have not romped away with this league.

I mean for liverpool you wouldn't say any of the back 5, henderson, coutinho, sterling were top players - yet they have won what 10 in a row and should win the league.

Im not a fan of this sentence bad luck and luck in football. Fair enough it might happen in one game or 2. But for a 38 game season you can't say someone wins a league on luck.

I thought Clatternberg did well today. One bad mistake. Not giving Liverpool a penalty when Suarez was fouled. Other than that well played sir, thank god Howard Webb wasn't refereeing.

It's not a cliche I believe. Moments change games and change seasons. In a league that could be decided by the result of that game, then massive decisions pay a massive impact.

Moreover, you've said you deserve it on your play yet ignore City. If you really think my point is that they were better for 45 minutes means they should win the league then I don't know what to say. Clear counter point to your point.

Obviously, not only luck, but I think it will be the deciding factor. Key decisions especially.

I thought he did ok - very hard to give some of those decisions without help. ,but of course there were plenty of errors. I suppose it was justice for The Ethiad.
Suarez should have been sent off, City should have had prob 2 pens.......maybe 3. Liverpool should have had 1.

Like I said, funny old game.

Same with Chelsea, out of all their attackers only really Hazard stands out on paper as a top player (granted they have some good ones) and they are in the Cl semi finals and if they win all their games will win the PL.

City bought poorly last summer and didn't get the best manager they could have, it's cost them.

At least he gave honest decisions..............although his failure to send Suarez off showed a lack of bottle. It would have been a HUGE call i suppose and he just wasn't sure enough.

Between the handball, Sakho (I think) odd tackle and Flanagan catching Silva I think City should have had at least one penalty, Suarez should have been off too.

So we can only criticise refs for decisions when it suits us? I think hes got a few major ones wrong. Thus I dont think hes had a good game.

Dolph you may be misunderstanding the point- but when not one player/fan/linesman sees the offence the odds are the ref wont either.

its just a matter of logic

Not that many of them are great, good teams win in spite of referees not because of them.

Yeah it's annoying in a big game like this but city wont win the title because they spent £100 million on average players (Fernandinho aside to be fair) instead of a centre half and a decent left back and got in an average manager instead of a top proven winner.

Add that to their away form early this season and you have why they haven't strolled to the title.
