Jarvis should of gone down, won't win a penalty these days if you attempt to stay on you're feet. Remember how bad these ref's are.

Christ not sure what was worse there, Mark Noble giving the ball straight to Arsenal or Giroud doing god only knows what, instead of tucking the ball away with ease.

GOAL!
Arsenal 0-1 West Ham
Laughable defending by Arsenal, nice little header by Matt Jarvis there. Can't say West Ham don't deserve it.

Poor clearance by Downing, leads to a Podloski leveler. Well taken by the German.

Never seen us take so long to clear a ball. Before Downing and the throw in we could have got rid about 4 times. Annoying.
Andy needs to get into the box more. Mertesacker is letting him peel away from him and that'll cause problems

Ramsey showing what a big miss he's been to Arsenal's campaign. What a header that was for Podolski, no one saw that coming, don't even think Podolski expected it!

Yeah when you talk about assists that really was one.
And after that he looked a bigger player.
That could be the turning point.
And this isn't me being biased but I think we will get something against Everton Tommorow.

Lack of desire killed us, as well as waiting ten mins too long to make subs. Just didnt seem bothered in the second half, Diame reverted to type and the gap between midfield and Carroll was huge.

Agree Dolph. If you don't concede before half time I think you would have got at least a draw from it. Goal gave them confidence going into the second half.
Ramsey is class. He wasn't far off his early season form before he broke his leg. It was always going to take him at least 2 seasons to come back from it and I always told my Arsenal friends he'd come good again.
Mys can't see you getting anything at Everton tomorrow. Aren't they on a massive run of consecutive wins at home?

Ramsey would still make my PL team of the season despite missing half of it - he was THAT good in the matches he played in.

Understandable but Goodison has become a fortress under Martinez this season, although I suppose a stuttering performance against Sunderland and Arsenal winning tonight may increase the nerves but if Delafeou plays like he did on saturday your're in for a long night imo

Agree, he'd slot in alongside Toure. Yes people will call for Gerrard but he was average first half of the season imo, come good second half no doubt but Ramsey was on levels no other player in Europe apart from Ronaldo was matching

Martinez also got his Wigan sides playing their best football at the end of seasons, and it seems Everton are too

I can't see Everton breaking us down. Just can't see it. I am only worried about Ross as he is so strong. But he isn't even starting him.
Nerves will get to them as well.
0_0 1_0 eitherway all over it.

I'm afraid I don't share your optimism Mys but what's football without it eh?
In fairness just seen Palace have won their last 3 matches so they're in form but Everton for me will have too much for them. Forget Ross for the moment, Delafeou is the true superstar when on form. Don't be surprised to see him starting for Barca next season at some point.

Everton will need serious strength to get through the palace defense.
this year most teams haven't scored against us.
Yes I am optimistic. But Pulis drills the team so well. If they cant use the stregth to fight through the palace defensive shape they wont get to us. I can see them keeping possesion all game - maybe up to 75% yet only getting about 4 shots on goal
Everton haven't scored many goals compared to the teams around them. and we have(under pulis) conceded the fewest in the whole league.
Yes I am very very optimistic at the moment. BUt thats also based on the form for me. Everton have smashed teams that have tried to play against them- but I cant see where the extra bite is against a team that will park the bus(and do it almost perfectly) and play counter

He really was on another planet to the rest of the PL players- Yes Suraez was out for the first 7 or so games, so that was one of the reasons.

Re: Barclays Premier League 13/14 Thread Part 'x'
West Ham did seem to give up when they went 2-1 down. I was very disappointed with them and in particular Carroll who really has something to prove, some people want him to go to the World Cup, a lot of people don't. He has a lot to prove and a lot to catch up on if he is to get on a plane to Brazil. But from the first minute to last, he just looked like he couldn't be asked and wanted to be sat at home with a beer to hand.
West Ham will easily be fine this season, but i still think if they really want to progress as a football club, Big Sam isn't the man.

Mysti extra bite coming from? Well they've onky got Lukaku, Mirallas, Delefeou, Naismith, Barkley, Osman, Baines, Coleman. No bite in there at all

Like I say, a bit over critical. My first thought was 'shot' when he first got it, and to be fair, he would have been criticised if he had been caught with the ball. In fairness it's the end result that matters, and that was a goal.
You cant tackle from behind Stella
You can if you come round the side and get the ball?
Then its not from behind then
Sort it out Stella
From behind, as in a player from behind him, who in fairness can tackle from behind, as long as they don't go through the player. I could have worded it better, but my point still stands.
Fair enough but what Man City player could have tackled him from 'behind'?
A city player did run across him but he decided, wrongly as it turned out, to track a Liverpool player. I am being too critical, but I still say when he first go it, he dithered a little, and that was my initial point, and I ain't going back on it. Good goal after that.
And yes, Hart was at fault.
