What about worst managers of the season:
1) Di Canio - Yeah, he was bad. Really bad. Not much else to say.
2) Moyes - Took over a title winning team, spent +£60 million and turned them into Everton.
3) AVB - Lost Bale and brought in proven or promising players but failed to make it work. Never seemed popular with players either.
4) Pellegrini - Could still win the league but its unlikely now. Won the little valued CC but disappointed in both CL and FA cups. Wins seemed more down to squad quality than his expertise. Boring as hell too.
5) Wenger - Promising start but unlike Rodgers, failed to capitalise on rival's shortcomings. Unable to aspire confidence in the bigger games and failed to make squad improvements when it was necessary.
6) Holloway – Nice enough guy and entertaining, but out of his depth at this level.

As much as I like Holloway and respect him as a man that knew when to hand his job in. He was the worst alongside di canio.
He just didn't have a clue. Probally partially stress related but still.
And even if we go back to the championship. His addition mid season stunted palace from an almost gatanteed top 2 to just scraping into 6th spot and it was only Zaha that got us promoted not him.

Actually hoping now that Culverhouse and Karsa have been suspended and Cowans and Given stepping up, that training has been good the last few days.
Good atmosphere etc.
Looking forward to the Saints game, will be another tough game.
Big fans of Cowans and Given, so hoping they can help us in our run in.
It has been another poor season at the Villa.
We must be one of the most inconsistant teams this season.
Wins away to Arsenal, Saints, home to Chelsea, Man City. Draw away to Liverpool(when we could have been 4-0 up).
Think we may have been 1 of only 2 teams not to lose at Anfield this season.
Losses to Sheff Utd, the double done on us by Fulham, Palace, fair play to those teams.

Could get interesting. 3 points for Cardiff takes them level with Palace. Palace 5 points above safety with possible points deduction

West ham is going to really test us. Hopefully we won't turn the gas down and keep playing for the sake of football. I can't see pulis calming down but the players endless energy has to stop at some point.
I literally have no idea of the outcome v west ham. Leaking 2 goals v Everton will be something that will grate on pullis. I know that sounds odd concidering we won against a top team..But he is a perfectionist in defense.

If Cardiff have proof Palace pursued an obtained the lineup before the game, it's tough to see Palace avoiding a points deduction

What substance. Tan hates moody. He does these odd things.
He is a raving lunatic. If it was from anyone else I might believe it and be worried .
Those two have a chequed past. Tan is insane, he sacked moody and replaced him with a 23 year old without experience or a work permit....

It is everything to do with tan. and even if moody obtained the team sheet- its the Cardiff employee that gave him it that has done wrong!!
its just crazy and classic Tan.
I cant see anything happening- but anyway off course i am crossing my toes- this is palace- sh!t allways happens!!. But as said this does stink of a classic Tan situation

It probably is nonsense but if he was trying to secure team info he should be sacked and Palace given a fine. I'm not one for points deductions. It wont be that anyway, the legal ramifications when Palace appeal are just too much hassle.
Worst Managers of the season? I don't think Paolo can really take the worst manager considering he was sacked pretty quick and Sunderland havent exactly improved massively for Poyet.
Hughton, Moyes, AVB/Sherwood combination, everyone at Fulham except Magath and Lambert have been the most disappointing.
Pardew and Pochettino have ended the season poorly, especially Pardew. Southampton's cup arrogance annoyed me a lot.

i may be biased but moyes for me for worst manager of the season.
holloway was doing as expected with palace, only made to look worse with the miracles pullis has done since arriving
avb pretty poor, but feel like he shouldnt shoulder all the blame for spurs plight, i highly doubt he choose the players coming in and he wasnt doing much different than last season.
pocchettino first season in england and has got them playing some great football, looks like he will under achieve but are they that different from last season?
and thats why its goes to moyes for me, took over the champions and made them look mediocre. from 1st to 7th having spent 70 mil is some achievement

I think AVB has a tough ride everywhere he goes and never given the right time. There must be something about him that grates on the owners.
In regards to Holloway- lets forget pulis for a minute and think about Millen getting 4 pts(1 pt more than pulis) in his few games in charge..
Holloway as much as I like the man (think he has a top personality) , lost the plot completely.

Would be interesting, if that did happen. Also just to throw it in there, Sunderland have scored more league goals at St James' Park in 2014 than Newcastle United...
Looks like AVB will be picking up a Russian league title after four wins on the bounce. Looks like the quick route to regaining some reputation that move, before he suddenly jumps ship back into the major european leagues.

I think technically speaking Coentrao is the worlds most expensive fullback because Ramos was primarily a centre back and I believe cost less any way.
The money being reported for some of these players is insane and highlights that football really is dying. £30mil for Shaw and Carvalho is ridiculous when in reality they aren't even worth £10mil but such are the inflated prices of today.

Rooney cost less than that and I think that's a good barometer, an attacking eith huge potential coming off a storming Euro 2004 is worth three times that of a full back. Hell that's the price of Ferdinand, a world class proven centre back.

I cant not agree with any of those statements really. They are all true and they are well thought out, but, this would be my top 5 (6 - as a wildcard)
1) Ole Gunnar Solskjaer - Hasn't done much right. When he came in, Cardiff were a point clear of the drop zone, good enough for them, now they are 3 behind. He's lost 4 points on his rivals and has been poor throughout.
2) Rene Mulsensten - (Sorry if spelling is incorrect), But, same as Solksjaer. The only thing that puts him in this 2nd is that Solksjaer has been in a poor position for longer.
3) Di Canio - Didn't have long to adapt but nevertheless, wasn't really good and like Holloway, this is currently out of his depth.
4) Steve Clarke - I really do love his management style, I like it a lot, but there are far too many draws involved. Did he only manage to collect 7 victories in his whole time at WBA? Not good enough for me.
5) David Moyes - This manager is back where belongs. Poor throughout, money not spent wisely, left all to the last minute, players don't really seem to be too keen on his management ideas either really, imo.
----
6) Alan Pardew/Michael Laudrup - Sorry, couldn't split between them. Yes, both had good seasons previously, but, neither have really done anything special. Swansea won the C1C, good, Newcastle though, finished in a decent position, but they were once near the top? Tbh, neither managers really impressed me. That's why they are both going to be my wildcard.

Sorry, not for me. He hasn't done anything wrong at Norwich. A very harsh sacking for me. Feel sorry for him. Didn't do a whole lot wrong with his squad, quality and resources. Done really well actually. Steve Clarke will be the next Norwich manager I'm going to guess. Even if he was on my list above.

He works for a lunatic. Who knows what the heck is going on at Cardiff. But he has been coecerced in to a sh!t storm.
And obviously a very new manager that is out of his depth and probally being hassled by the lunatic owner every day.

feel really sorry for Cardiff fans. Their club has been made into a laughing stock by probably the worst owner in British football's history. Changes the colours of the club along with the badge. Fires their head of recruitment and McKays right hand man. Fire McKay because he's not the flamboyant, free flowing attacking manager to lead them to 4th in their first year. Absolutely crazy. Best thing for cardiff is for someone with money to come in, take it off him and restore things to how they were.

And having Rene in there is a bit of a joke. Martin Jol was the architect of that mess. However, I do think Poyet gets a lot of excuses made for him because the media narrative likes him and not Paolo.

Poyet and Di Canio are just two bang average managers whow were way out of their depth. Yeh they had the charisma but anyone can shout at players and tell them to get stuck in. Comes down to tactics at the end of the day and they fail miserably.
Rene was a bit like the Steve Clarke outcome. Two very good first team coaches but management is a whole lot different. Very hard to start life as a manager in the premier league.

I'm not sure you can judge Rene too hard, he started to get some performances then got sacked. Jol had killed that side and Rene tried to clear up the mess in the window and on the training ground. Getting Taarabt and Berba out of the squad and off the wage bill whilst bringing in Holtby and Heitinga wasnt bad work.

Will be a bit emotional at Upton Park tomorrow after the sad news that one of our lads, Dylan Tombides, has died aged 20 after battling cancer for 3 years. He'd made one senior appearance for the side and was on the bench for a league cup tie a few months ago. The youth team lads who have grown up with him are all unsurprisingly devastated. His little brother a youth team player too. RIP Dylan.

I think you'll win. We're playing iffy at the moment and it'll be an emotional game for some of those lads. You're on real form and just have the desire to keep going, whereas we want this season to end. Won't be a classic, thats for sure.

Not sure mate.
40pts in every players mind = safety. We may have a drop in performance.
West ham all though look very safe haven't hit that marker yet. And big Sam will implant that in to your players
Carroll and Nolan are proper gutsy strong forward players that can play direct and not take time to over complicate stuff that allows our defensive shape to get back in time.
