Just checked up on this point I made.
Liverpool have the 3rd highest spend on incoming players in the Premier League since 2003 with £491m compared to Utd on £448m
How much of that is dirty money

Elliot Bennett is god.
Also if you fancy a chuckle.
Moyes has won more trophys in 9 months than Wenger has in 9 months.

Well if Hodgson decides to play a Moyesque way I will find it very hard to keep my recent positivity about this England team.
We do have decent players that could play a similar system to Liverpool . But my hopes will be dashed if I see a welbeck , milner wing option, carrick in the middle etc etc

If mine are correct(teams at the bottom anyway) we would be 3 points clear, with 3 to play.

If anyone knows anything about football, or if they have watched The Class of 92 (Fantastic DVD btw) then they will know Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs, Phil Nevile and Nicky Butt will not tolerate anything less than 100%. United will be up for it for sure. Norwich may sneak a point, but i really can't see them picking up all 3 points.

well ive just put a united player in my fantasy football team for the first time in a very long time so i must be confident!
think the weakness of moyes team wont vanish over night but a bit more postivity at old trafford has been sorely needed and could make a big difference with the crowd behind us

I think Utd will have a number of players that suddenly will find a gear higher than 2nd (and that's being generous to some of them) and be wanting to showcase themselves for keeping in the frame for next season. I've never been a gloater for Utd or someone that overly that bigs them up etc but I do think they'll be be playing out of their skins this weekend and tonk Norwich.

Re: Barclays Premier League 13/14 Thread Part 'x'
I agree with Hero here, I think United will turn up in a big way and the players will want to show off for the new manager. Generally, when a new manager comes in during the middle of the season they play a bit better as people now feel like they again have to win their place on the team and players who aren't played regularly could take their spot if the new manager has a different view of their abilty and effort compared to the last guy.
I want Giroud to score a hatrick against Newcastle just because I know John loves him so much. And come on Southampton!!!

The new manager effect is often an overrated one. United have been torrid at home this season; then again, Norwich haven't exactly been supreme.
Go for a scrappy draw. Low in quality.

Still recovering from him scoring @ St James' Park earlier on this season. He's a terrible striker but put him in front of our woeful defence & it wouldn't surprise me to see him bang his second, third & fourth against us this season. That would be the final nail in the coffin, in what has been, quite simply, a terrible, utterly abysmal & embarrassing second half of the season.
Roll on 2014/2015
As for United, fully expect the United side to finally wake up, 3-1 or 4-1 most probably. Sorry Olly.

This is different to a typical new manager tho. As Hero said, a number of players who were stuck in first gear under Moyes might find higher ones for Giggs and their United futures

I'd still get rid of a lot of them though, regardless of how they play in these last 4 games.
