It's ludicrous to suggest I don't have a clue about a player who plays for my team.
we wont agree- so lets just end it and wait.
You will eventually see- But please to god- sell him back to us. Parish will buy him.
Do not ruin him by farming him out and making him lose his drive and ambition like what happened to wickham, routledge and puncheon..

Coutinho really needs to work on his shooting, when he tries to really power a shot from range he always ends up dragging it wide.

From what I saw of Zaha at Palace and during the preseason I liked it. The banging of Moyes daughter and his attitude at Cardiff though has certainly taken him 2 steps back, seems to be a thing with a few English players that after the initial burst they go backwards for a while (Morrison, Berahino, Sterling, Wickham etc)

Sign of a player with no natural shooting power Hampo, would be better off trying to caress the ball in instead.

Relative to other countries we have so few young prospects that the ones we do have are thrust straight into the media spotlight, it's happening to Barkley as well, looked superb for most of the season then starts getting some plaudits and his performance levels drop right off.Hero wrote:From what I saw of Zaha at Palace and during the preseason I liked it. For instance if Rooney wasn't English, he a) wouldn't have cost so much and b) would have been able to progress at a steady rate and would have become one of the best players in the world.
It's quite telling that the best english player of his generation Paul Scholes got very little media coverage and was left alone to become the great player that he was.

Good player but also a pathetic person by quiting England because he had to play a game on the left.Hammersmith harrier wrote:Relative to other countries we have so few young prospects that the ones we do have are thrust straight into the media spotlight, it's happening to Barkley as well, looked superb for most of the season then starts getting some plaudits and his performance levels drop right off.Hero wrote:From what I saw of Zaha at Palace and during the preseason I liked it. Not really pathetic when you're the one getting shifted to the left in favour of a pair who couldn't carry your jockstrap, a more than justified decision to make.mystiroakey wrote:Good player but also a pathetic person by quiting England because he had to play a game on the left.Hammersmith harrier wrote:Relative to other countries we have so few young prospects that the ones we do have are thrust straight into the media spotlight, it's happening to Barkley as well, looked superb for most of the season then starts getting some plaudits and his performance levels drop right off.Hero wrote:From what I saw of Zaha at Palace and during the preseason I liked it. Rather odd game from Mourinho. I mean. I suppose he's decided the league is beyond him, so he might as well screw Liverpool

I am England first. Palace second
You deal with were ever you are put and do your best.
He.would have been back central under the next manager.
Calling him pathetic is a bit out of order but it was at the time.
He has made it clear in recent years that he made the wrong decision.
However one the reasons Scholes and giggs had such longevity was probably due to not having international commitments.

The great teams in any sport are throughiout history deemed to be remembered on stats, but the epic ones are the stats and flair.
But again, if you get sucess, no matter what. That's what counts.

load of nonsense the scholes thing, no doubt he was disillusioned with england at the time, but he's a massive family man. he didnt have the hunger to travel round the world playing for a team where nobody else could be arsed
he decided he would rather spend that time with his family, what a horrible person

not horrible person- just petty at the time.
his kids would have surely rather watched him at the world cups- like you have a long career in football! jeasus what are you on about- footballers get so much time with there family anyway!! And he has admitted fault, so fair play for admitting his mistakes.
However as i also mentioned he got funny at united as well. Which was covered up at the time- one of the reasons why fergie was so successful- they dealt with issues in house. He did the same tevez thing and refused to warm in cup games before

Steve Gerrard, Gerrard. He fell down like a special. It's a goal from Demba Ba. Cheers Gerrard, Gerrard. #CFC #KTBFFH

I await to see if Jose gets fined for changing so many players by the way, Ian Holloway and Mick McCarthy both received one in previous years. Not saying it's right but the FA could seriously pee him off with that.
