Apparently gatecrashed a Klitschko press conferance topless and tried to get at Klitschko until security got rid of him. Roid rage?

Yeah, saw this earlier and was wondering how long it'd be before Briggs pulled another caper like this.

Tragic thing is, this sort of stuff appeals to some folk. God only knows why, but it does. So much so that there's a danger some boxing fans will actually start talking up a Wladimir-Briggs fight because of it, citing the fact that Briggs has called him out and the "bad blood" as reasons for the fight to happen lest Wlad gets accused of ducking the challenge.

Pretty sure the classy, in-the-know lot we have on here wouldn't have any interest in seeing Shannon beaten in to a coma by a Klitschko for a second time, mind you, but in a world where Twitter trends and any kind of self-publicity are held in such high esteem, you never know!

I doubt he will get a fight with Klitschko out of his half naked antics. But maybe a decent offer off someone else. Somewhere in a gym far away David Hayes sensor goes off.

He should also have done enough to secure a visit from the drug testers if they have any sense.

I don't mind a small degree of theatrics or bad blood if the fight is credible. This isn't. Therefore, it's just embarrassing.

That just about sums up the Klitscko era. At a press conference ahead of a bout with Alex Leapai, Klitschko is harangued by Shannon Briggs.

The man is seriously strung out on something or Vitali did a real number on him. He seems to think boxing owes him something but he had his time.

Wladimir wont be angry by this episode because its will most prob be the only thing fans remember about this poor H/W title contest............if you can call it that.

Briggs is desperate and obviously been juicing to the gills whilst inactive and not being tested.

Briggs was one of the most undeserving HW title challengers ever when he fought Vitali. He was battered pillar to post and done nothing since and somehow thinks acting a fool will get him another shot.

I heard him on Bunce's podcast a few weeks back and he was talking a load of rubbish about his dream to be the biggest promoter in the world! The annoying thing is that Bunce just laps it up and agrees with his guests no matter what garbage they say.

In fairness If this guy is trying to assault Wlad one minute and then turning up naked at a press conference naked the next.......In between going life and death with the unstoppable Jason statham in Transporter 3...

Is Bunce really going to start laughing at him and making fun of him on his podcast !!

I wonder if the fact he looks like a bodybuilder all of a sudden has some bearing on him turning so aggressive and angry.

He looked in great shape against Vitali a couple of years back. This isn't a "new" look for him. The shaved head is but not the physique.

I know he has been in great shape before Dave, but that is a big step up mate, he is seriously cut. Fair play to him though it takes a lot of work at his age to get a physique like mine

Dunno if you saw the weigh-in pics of him vs Vitali but if memory served he looked in frighteningly good shape then.

It was Hogey mentioned his physique and nutty behavior, I just mentioned that he was in shape a couple of years ago and that it wasn't a new thing...still he does look lovely doesn't he?

Yes Hammersmith, it's hard to believe it's 17 years since he beat Foreman in Big George's final fight.He's clutching at straws now though to imgine that he is still a contender to take Wlad's title.

Wasn't the Foreman victory investigated as it was considered a massive robbery? I never saw it in full.

Yer it was bad, I watched it a copule of years ago. It should have been a clear UD for Foreman. But he wasn't too bothered in the interviews after the fight.

Briggs looks in decent shape. Tell him to show up on Saturday and, after Wlad's dispensed with Leapai, if Wlad can be bothered, throw Briggs in there straight afterwards and Klitschko can kayo him as well.

I doubt Klitschko minds all this really. Its giving cheap publicity to an otherwise pointless fight. Maybe Briggs has been hired.
