First topic message reminder :

John wrote:Can see the same thing happening with Kroos, when Bayern stump up the wage & then the pressure will be on Moyes massively, after constantly telling everyone that he's been given the nod by these agents that these players wanted to come to United.

He shouldn't be saying things like that IMO. Just making things harder for himself.

Unless LVG invests in wingers dont expect to see the 433 formation used much this year

'If we switch of 4-3-3 I will need more specialists on the wings & in attack so I'll need to buy another kind of player'

With Zaha, I think it was the guardian I read it that before they jetted off LVG told his squad there was an optional training session that everybody bar Zaha attended. Dont know how true that is but I recall reading it before zaha had failed to take part in either game, so that could be a reason

I dont doubt he'll get a look in probably just being made to earn it

I'm not zahas biggest fan but surely he is not that stupid.

I mean is anyone that stupid.

I dont know mate- all i know is he is a good talent and i dont want him wasted,

he was saying he was going to try his hardest and hardest to impress VDG - and it was a fresh start. So i cant believe he would have missed those sessions.

but if you wanna sell him- palace will pay the money back.

fine by me- he never lacked commitment at palace- and everyone here 100% trusts him as well.

there is a clash going on up your end- not blaming united or zaha - . He is a damm hard worker- well he was..

however i wouldn't right him off yet- LVG is no moyes(he doesnt have any fit daughters) he will probally give him a shot with the lack of real quality you have on the wings.

Cardiff fans were fed up with him due to lack of application.

Don't see much of a future for him at united.

I'd give him a chance again, not many do but I saw how important he was in Palace's push for promotion and if harnessed I think he could become a very decent player, the talent is there, it just needs to be focused correctly.

Prob just rose tinted specs for a home boy.

I don't see anything special in him and he doesn't work hard so...

Anyway we've had this discussion so many times, we could use a top quality player who can score and create out wide and it would be a lot more convenient and cheaper if that was zaha but I don't think it will be - shame.

i want him back- so i am happy to take him back- but you seem to think you know the player better than palace fans. You dont! its that simple- so stop judging his application..

Pullis wants him as much as anyone else from the club- Do you think Pulis is any less demanding than any top manager at a top club.

Answer = NO

2/3 clubs he's played for doubt his attitude and work ethic. Fans of his home town club who he helped get promoted don't.

Hmmm, tricky one.

I guess we will see this season.

thats the problem- we may not see anything..

we saw nothing last season because he was messed about(yes it might have been half his fault or more)- but the same thing could happen.

he could be on the bench for the first 15 games and only play 20 mins - then get loaned to the worst team in the division again that's owned by an insane owner managed by the least experienced manager in the league!!

I just hope he gives him a go or sells him- that's all.  Same thing goes for every single English player in the league btw.

"‘I definitely feel like this is a clean slate,’ he said last week. ‘All I’m trying to do is impress the new manager  and get in to his squad. All i can do is give my all. There’s a new manager and I want to make sure that I show him what I can do.’
However, with United now two games in to their pre-season tour, Zaha is the only player not to feature at all. Van Gaal has dismissed any claims that the winger isn’t proving his worth in training but it seems odd that even all three goalkeepers would get a go in the team whilst Zaha hasn’t had a single minute.
‘Maybe he will play centre-forward next,’ Van Gaal said, giving the youngster some hope. ‘He has worked well in training. There are no problems.’"

We will see, van gaal is clapping cleverly on the back in press conferences and making him captain for tour games.

Zaha will get his opportunity and if he doesn't get on the pitch it's because he's made a mess of it again.

Who said anything like that?

Even the much maligned players are getting the back of the manager and getting a chance to impress.

Zaha will be afforded his chance, so we will see this season wether he is up to it or not.

Google Rivaldo and bayern munich fall outs including Vaan gaal to educate yourself on your new manager- next might be too watch some football.

By the way I think this is exactly the mentality your club needs., But you obviously have no idea what he is like as a manager by coming up with such oddities.

I know exactly what he's like as a manager, what you're not taking into account is that he's been in the job for barely two weeks so will not instantly come out with negative comments, no manager would.

Zaha has done nothing over the past year and what he did in the championship no longer matters.

Van Gaal - 'Tougher to succeed Moyes than Ferguson at Man Utd'. do one LVG.

He's annoying me, thinks he's gonna be some kind of new mourinho in this league with the mindgames & interviews, i can just see it.

Where do you think Mourinho developed his people skills? He worked under van Gaal at Barcelona.

Yeah, I know he did, but we've seen it with Mourinho already, just doesn't really have the effect now for me. I'm sure LVG will do a good job, easy fixtures to begin with & some nice signings + a motivated, hungry squad now after not winning anything last year. I think a top 4 will be achieved quite easily actually.

Man Untied boss said Luke Shaw is unfit, as the £27million left-back trained on his own in Washington
Van Gaal said: 'He’s not very fit and can’t perform how I want'
Dutchman says Wilfried Zaha will play second-half of United's International Champions Cup game against Inter Milan on Tuesday night

It seems like LVG doesn't see Zaha as a wing back - and will only play him as a striker within his system and vision for the club - but he has already publicly explained his issues with Luke Shaw......

It's an example of lvg giving everyone a chance - it's not a difficult concept.

Shaw not fit enough, very interesting.

Another tour game tonight, will be interesting to see the shape of the team.

He only sees Zaha as a striker within the system he wants to play(352- using wing backs- and Shaw would be a wing back , so i assume Shaw will need even more fitness than just as a left back as its a box to box role)

He may be bang on next season- But with the striker's Man U have , if he really truly only sees Zaha as a striker I am really not sure how many games this kid is going to get next year even if he does become the fittest and best brown noser in the club!!
