Barclays Premier League 13/14 Thread Part 'x'
First topic message reminder :
Superb by Mourinho. When are Liverpool at their most dangerous? The first thirty minutes of games; that is, generally, when they tear teams apart.
Not allowed to do that today, though, even against a very weakened Chelsea side. Liverpool didn't get a clear chance all game, and one costly, costly error gave Chelsea what they needed.
That and frustration, as Liverpool rapidly ran out of ideas and invention.
Back in City's hands now - another title won on goal difference?

We've picked up 8 pts away, scored the least goals away, conceded the most.
More chance of pigs flying than us getting a result today, I just hope we show a little fight

Another positive Olly, you get more football to watch and more Saturday 3pm kick offs rather than stupid times at like 1:30 on a Sunday afternoon!

Sky 'WBA are a sacking club'.
2 managers in 5 years.
Mel's appointment hasn't worked. It has, they were falling at Norwich's rate under Clarke.

Clarke should never have been sacked. Mel has done ok since taking over though. Think it will be interesting to see what he can do next season.

I loved the Mel's appointment hasn't worked bit, after they showed a graphic where it had Mel getting more points per game than Clarke

Nick,
I think you're the only man to this day who still thinks Clarke shouldn't have been sacked. Ask every wba fan and most football fans in general and you could see he was taking them down. 6 wins in a calender year? Don't think you'd be too happy with that at Brighton.
Giroud get's his traditional goal against one the lower teams.

Agree Olly, its just embarrassing. Especially when they put that graphic up going completely against their argument!!
They just wanted Clarke to do well but he was awful.

They have picked up 15 points in the 14 games that Mel has been in charge of compared to 15 points in the 16 games that Clarke was in charge for, don't think the sacking has made a blind bit of difference really.

Pepe Mel seems to be a very bland, uninspiring manager - a bit like Magath at Fulham, whom I was expecting more from.
Anyway, this game is a dead rubber.

Anyone disappointed with the end of season.
No final day drama when Norwich go down, No race for 4th, Citeh strolling to the title after Gerrard bottled it by letting it roll under his feet then slipped over.
FT 1-0 - Giroud on the scoresheet, Remy in the directors box. Someone is trying to depress John

Cant wait to see Remy in an Arsenal side.
There's still drama in the title, but a rubbish season can end nice and quietly.

Well despite as much as I enjoy paying 50 quid to watch Suarez destroy my team, I don't mind trips to these teams where you've actually got a chance of seeing a competitive game
