Ukip are dangerous because some people actually believe what they say, and they target the middle classes in areas of law multi culturalism - ( if thats a word). And as gets shown every now and then, the Councillors they put up have been shown as a bit racist. But its easy for them to make grand statements, because realistically they will not get voted in and have to back up the statements they have made.

Have no fear, the nutters are getting kicked out at regular intervals.

And some people may believe what they say for, a lot of the time, it's common sense.

So Farage, man of the people, self claimed one of us, could be an expense fiddler, looks pretty clear cut.
Are most politicians on the fiddle, actually no. Looks like he is though, I so hope he does time, it would literally make my year. And I hope he shares a cell with a frisky, body building Romanian!

Spain Vs Holland may be a cracker or may be cagey as neither will want to lose, as loser may have Brazil in next round. Unfortunately my sister has arranged her birthday meal tonight. Should be home for Chile Vs Australia though.

A mates just flown out to Rio, lucky sod.

Not sure if I'd like to go to Brazil right now, seems to be a lot of unrest and it is one of the crime capitals of the world.

Rather go to a tournament there than Qatar or Russia or Sith Efrica

on another note, I see the pathetic Labour supporters are "up in arms" about Milliband being pictured with The Sun. Grow up.

Interesting situation in Iraq where Iran and the U.S. seem to be on the same side!!

Iran have sent a military unit to help Iraq fight AL-Qaeda militants who have taken Fallujah and are now marching on Baghdad. Obama is now under pressure to send military help to Iraq also.

What a mess that country is in. Dare I say getting rid of Saddam Hussein was a big mistake as he seemed to be the only one keeping the warring factions in check!

I'm not sure genocide is a policy that should qualify a leader to stay in power. That said I disagree completely with how getting rid of him was achieved.
Re travelling Im sure Brazil is fine, anyway a bit of edge is what makes travel interesting otherwise every country would feel the same. Backpacking around Asia and interrailing around Europe as a kid where some of my best memories but they certainly had a few hairy moments. Perhaps not the greatest idea to travel to the Philippines in the middle of a military coup...

Whether it is or it isn't is never justification for keeping someone in power known for genocide and war crimes.

No one said that Iraq was in a better place without Hussain.

Was gonna go to japan in 02.

My brother and some of the lads went.

Went to the 3 Ireland group games.

Been to a few qualifiers, hope to make it to a World Cup or EC if we can qualify.

Probably better if your team has a chance of getting somewhere. Being a fan of Australia, Ireland, England etc would be just turning up for the atmosphere.

I mean a team that is actually likely to compete. None of the above three has recently, and none look likely too. I can understand why you'd go to a WC to watch them, but if you are a fan of say Spain, Germany, Brazil for example, the possibility of actually winning it would surely add to the experience.

You go to support your country whether they have a chance or not.

Have enjoyed our 3 world cups.
Managed to get out of the group all 3 times. QF in 90, losing to Italy.

Losing 2-0 to Holland in USA 94 is no shame.

Would have knocked Spain out in 02 had Harte scored that pen, Or Kilbane not horribly fkd up the rebound.

Hopefully under MON & Keane we can quaklify for France 16. Will be tough.
If so I will definatly do everthing I can to go.

I think it will be very tough, Ireland were atrocious in the last tournament they were in. Truly embarrassing. I'm sure it was good fun to be there though.

I'd even expect the perpetually awful Scotland to beat Ireland fairly comfortably these days.

ERR I wouldn't.

I would say the upcoming games will either be 2 draws, or a win each.

I know we're not the best, but Scotland aint exactly great.

Getting to the last 8 would do me, but obviously if you get that far you have a shot. Brazil look really average to me, Paulhino, Oscar, even Neymar are not that special, certainly not like some oft he guys they have had in the past. If they weren't playing at home I wouldn't give them a hope in hell of winning the whole thing.
I don't see a clear favourite, you can make a good case for maybe 8 teams, maybe more.

I actually think England might beat Italy tomorrow unless they have to chase the game following an early Italian goal in which case the humidity will ruin them.

ITV studio attacked by demonstrators. Probably just going for Chiles. Or had hoped Andy Townsend and Tydesly where in there. Did not seem to be much love between Fabio C and Patrick V last night on the ITV pundits chairs either.

ITV are just second rate at everything aren't they? Even their advert break VT is terrible, cheap and classless.

Tyldesley is the worst commentator this side of Archie McPherson.

i did miss Glenn Hoddle and his camel toe. I see it has been reported somewhere. Hopefully he has been advised to stay away from the shorts in future. Ian Wright is a massive Tinkywinky. And very annoying. He keeps saing about high tempo and get it forward quickly. Forgetting taht we are in Brazil, and its going to be hot.

Mac,
I'd charter a Lear jet and round up Bush, Cheney, Wolfwitz, Fieth, Rumsfeld and Blair and fly them to Baghdad and dump them there.
They'll find the justice they delivered to the Iraqis.
