He was on #Flames every week for Pompey when they got promoted to the Prem!
Also i loved him at West Ham and Tottenham! In fact as striker's go, he has been one of my all time favorites in the Prem.

My god, if we lose tomorrow and WBA and Hull win, then we end up 17th.
Also if Norwich win, then we would have survived by 2 points.

Tony Pulis has offered no guarantees that he will still be in charge at Crystal Palace next season.
The Eagles face relegated Fulham on Sunday as they bring the curtain down on a remarkable campaign, in which Pulis has hauled them from the bottom three in November to mid-table.
But the Selhurst Park boss will hold talks with chairman Steve Parish next week and wants assurances about the direction of the club before deciding whether the trip to Craven Cottage will be his last game at the helm.

Personally i think it's just gamesmanship Mysti. Their isn't realistically anyway to go for him that'll give him that kind of money maybe Villa if sack Lambert. Toon will go French. West Ham will hire someone like Laudrup/'Arry

One year, he then played for West Ham for three and finished at Colchester. He got 28 goals in those years, but 21 were in the Championship - where he won Championship Player of the Season. Always was one of my favourite players, further confirmed with his spell at our place. Scored a couple important goals in the Prem.

£30m is quite a big chunk of money. Not sure we've spent that in a window before. Last two seasons combined is £40m.

Sheringham was a fantastic player, one of those that goes forgotten now, but one of the best footballing brains the Premier League has seen.

things are a bit more expensive today.
give him what he wants, lets see if he can move us forward, he will keep us up, if we get a new manager and only allow a 15m budget or so- we will be favs for the drop again

They had a discussion on the Radio the other night about Parish and they were saying he doesn't get spoken about highly. Always seems like a decent enough bloke to me.
Redknapp will retire if QPR don't go up, but if they do i can see him having one last crack in the Prem.
Pulis will be a fool to leave Palace.

They aren't much more expensive today than they were last season. We spent a fee on two players at the start of last season. I think £20m is probably a little underfunded but not a pittance either.

Yeah Parish looks a wee bit shifty. He looks like a gone wrong William Regal.

If 'Arry does retire, I'll think we'll be seeing a lot more of him on Match of the Day and the like.
But if it gets rid of Shearer or, better yet, Lawro, so much the better.

I'd love to see Shearer just f*ck off or get hit by a train. Awful, awful pundit.
I played 5 a side footy against Lawro. Believe me, it's all upstairs. Couldn't get near him, even at his age!

It will get worse, Freek: Rio Ferdinand being a leading pundit for the BBC at the World Cup will, quite possibly, make Shearer seem insightful.
And Henry's going to be another pundit - no idea what he's like, though.

But Chris the Dolphin is all for Rio's punditry. He has an affiliation with West Ham so he gets a pass....

I'm not a scouser Freeky, we can judge our own. You get your Suarez tattoo, make sure it's in white and has a bite in the seven though
I like Rio but I can't see him being a great pundit. Depends how he approaches it. If hes up for it and doesnt play it laid back then he has insight and is a passionate man, not thick either. But his tone of voice and delivery in speech, as well as his demeanour, could easily be annoying it hes trying to be a G.

To be honest there have been very few defenders in recent years who can read the game like Rio, he doesn't have the do or die attitude of Terry or Carragher but anybody that can make Wes Brown look world class knows a thing or two about the game.

As a Utd fan I'm biased on Rio, but I've met him twice and he's a lovely bloke, one time at a kids play centre where his kids had gone off on the slides etc so he gave my son a 30 minute one on one training session.
I think he'd be better than Shearer, much more willing to put forward his opinion etc, should do like what ITV did when they got Keane and Viera together and get Rio and JT combined.

I don't think that the BBC or ITV snapped up Theo Walcott as a pundit...a missed oppourtunity, no doubt.
Then again, he quite possibly feels absolutely sick that he's missed out on a World Cup in Brazil, a once-in-a-lifetime chance, and only has Russia and Qatar to look forward to.
Poor lad.

Saddens me to see you like this, Olly. Chin up, anything can happen in footie. A decade ago, my local club was facing relegation, we got bought out by a billionaire, and have three league titles from the last nine, including the last one. Norwich will rise again, and I'm not just saying this because I've been to your hellhole corner of the world.
