Needs to happen though, it's time for a fresh start (especially if van Gaal is coming in, since his style is more suited to younger players).Hammersmith harrier wrote:If Evra does leave too it will be a massive shame, three players who played a massive role in our recent success, three fifths of the best defensive unit I've seen in my time. The best combined £42mil we've ever spent, thank you very much for the memories and years of tireless service.

Tottenham are a mess right now.
Does it go:
Van Gaal to Manchester United
De Boer to Tottenham
Sherwood to Brighton
Hughton to West Brom
Mackay to Norwich
Allardyce sacked
Moyes to West Ham

What's everyone's thoughts on Southampton next year. Could be in turmoil, no manager, Lallana & Shaw potentially leaving & others beginning to question what direction the club are heading. Tough season next year? It only takes a few factors for a club to nose-dive in this division.

Re: Barclays Premier League 13/14 Thread Part 'x'
You can replace the likes of Lallana 20m & Shaw-27-30m with 50m John. It's just a matter of who is coach.

Must be De Boer. Linking up with Eriksen & Vertonghan again, gains immediate respect from the players & it's a big name. He's successful & plays attractive football that Spurs fans have been crying out for. Has Pochettino been that incredible at Southampton.....not for me.

Seems like Allardyce survives. That must mean we plan some investment this summer cos Sullivan won't have another dull season like that.

You'll have no need to watch it with the lack of bottle your side have.

Chelsea's though is just saying it might happen. Arsenal's is confirming they have won it. I know the FA Cup has been handed to them, but they could be professional to Hull.

What Nick said. Ours was about the "far from certain" "possibility".
That Islington sign is as if they've already played the game, marched up the steps, shook hands with the suits, and gone mad on the pitch.
Hoping for an NFL style meme of African kids celebrating the impending delivery of Arsenal FA Cup Winners gear. If Hull win.

May I ask how having to play Tottenham, Everton and Liverpool, not to mention Wigan, means you've had the FA Cup handed to you?
Ludicrous statement, they've had a testing road to the final.

Tottenham in despair, had Howard Webb on their side vs Liverpool. Everton was tough. It's a bit over the top, granted.

Not really a joke though. It's just what happens when people around the world are willing to pay top money to watch this league.
Re: Barclays Premier League 13/14 Thread Part 'x'
Cardiff received more than last seasons winners.
Said it before, FFP will not work in the Championship, you'll end up with the same teams cycling in and out of the PL. It'll become like the top 4 used to be, only without the ability for a City to break in through spending.

That's because of TV deals kicking in. Like the BT Sport and the big NBC deal to show every Premier League game live.
