Poll
Froch v Groves 2 - Who will you be cheering for?
First topic message reminder :
Just a simple poll and thread from a simple poster
Looking to find out who people want to win this rematch (and why as well if you like)
Personally I will be cheering on Groves as he is a better prospect due to his age and superior boxing skills. I think if he stays on this track he will achieve a lot more at Super-Middleweight than Froch has. With a marketable personality as well he could go on to be a good ambassador for boxing within the UK
Regards

http://www1.skysports.com/boxing/news/12183/9311669/andre-ward-describes-froch-groves-ii-as-a-domestic-fight-says-pair-are-avoiding-him
Could Ward come across more pathetic and jealous if he tried?
Tell me this Andre, when have you ever sold out a 80 thousand seat stadium and when has an opponent of yours ever received a purse of at £1mil? If this is a domestic fight then i'd like to know what his small shows in his backyard are then.

Maybe If someone was good enough to get him into a war with a controversial ending..
He may get better numbers...
Groves-Froch is a one off.............Neither will attract a quarter of this kind of crowd again.

Froch earns more than Ward regardless of who he's facing, got $5mil for the Kessler rematch while Andre got $1.3mil for facing Dawson. Nothing to do with controversy he's just dull and despite being the best nobody cares about him, then again who wouldn't jealous of watching somebody you beat earn four times the amount you do.

He earns more because he has the novelty of being the biggest fish in a small pond..
Imagine If Ward was British he'd be huge with his skill set.......Calzaghe wasn't that exciting...
Life is a b***h.......

Calzaghe was a hugely exciting fighter, the handspeed and relentless style sold, the way he talks about Vegas is pathetic when he doesn't fight there anyway.

I'm not sure how 9 people on here can be neutral........
They are two different personalities........Two very different fighters and one is nearing the end and one is just beginning his journey.......and it's genuine grudge match !!
Surely one must be liked more than the other........Whoever it is..

Groves for me. I've been a fan of both over the years, Froch has been amazing for British boxing fans really, but he's become a massive bell-dome recently. Don't want to dwell on his brother but I can't wish enough misery on him so its Groves all the way.
Also a huge fan of Paddy Fitzpatrick, I'd love to see him and Groves go far.

I'm hoping Groves can get the win but I have a feeling Froch will do a Bute on him.
In a side note, Matchroom have awarded us press accreditation for the fight and Damien (Reborn) will be at ringside. Really is a testament to how quickly the V2 brand is growing that we've been invited to a fight of this magnitude.

Re: Froch v Groves 2 - Who will you be cheering for?
I also hope Groves wins but I thinks Froch beats him again. Hope not but I reckon there's a good chance of Groves getting Bute'd, which is what I thought would happen in the first fight.
People say that Froch can't improve but he was beaten to the punch in the first round and that set the tone for the fight. I see Froch covering up more and walking Groves to the ropes. Groves will probably make him miss a lot but the ones that get through will wear him down to at 5th round stoppage.

That early?! Know Wembleys license wouldn't let them go late but still would've thought it'd be nearer 10.30 or so.

It's the other side of it as well I guess, TFL have to give their go ahead.
Great news Damien.

Seems all the mod rebuttals I received for commenting on Eddie didn't go unnoticed.
Enjoy it Dee but just don't get too close to Eddie as rumour has it a flash of his pearly whites can blind a man from 20 paces. This is Essex.
