FFS. Love seeing him play against us, his record at the AMEX is quite impressive. That consists of 3 games, 3 yellow cards, 2 foul throws, god knows how many fouls and miss passes, and never reaching the 2nd half of football.

Post by GSC Tue 27 May 2014, 4:10 pm

I expect a youth revolution given the success of Darlow, Lascelles and Paterson last season, and to a lesser extent Osborn (had some bright performances). Pearce's biggest impact should be in uniting a club torn by Billy and cos desire to seek revenge on everyone he felt wronged him in his first stint. Deadwood is in the process of being shifted, and the club rebuilt after nearly everyone got sacked.

I actually like Pearce as a manager, thought he did a good job with the U21s. His last tournament was abysmal, but he made a semi final and a final the 2 tournaments prior. I also don't think he needs to be anything special, if we can add a striker that isn't useless (see Cox, Henderson, Blackstock, Derbyshire (for 2.99 years), Tudgay etc) the squad is good enough to be up around the playoff places, barring a crazy run of injuries again. Stability is the key really, Leicester showed that.

I think Pearce is okay, but have a horrible feeling for you that it's been done to placate the fans. I am hoping that you get it together though as it's always a better season when we're close together.

I'm guessing that must be Veldwijk? Couple of midtable Eredivisie sides interested in him too. Would probably be better off showing he can do it there first, the Dutch second division is awful.

You don't need anymore strikers. You have the best striker in the league Matty Fryatt. Him and Simon Cox upfront will be the next Vokes and Ings i recon.

Eastick says the Veldwijk deal could go through in the next 24 hours. Medical passed and deal agreed with club and player. He asked for time to mull it over, which is fair enough for a 22 year old moving abroad I suppose

Eastick already shot the Koren rumor down.

Doesn't make sense with Osborn and potentially Blake coming through.

The Burke rumor is 2 years old. Rather find another in the mold of Paterson. Abdoun needs selling first

Not overly concerned if we lose him for a big fee, De Vries is proven at this level, have to be ripped off though really.

Also the rumor that you had a bid of 5m rejected for McCormack amused me.

Pretty sure we need to sell to buy at this point.
