Vasyl Lomachenko v Gary Russell Junior - Vacant WBO Title Fight
Quite surprised at this one for a couple of reasons.
Firstly, Lomachenko did very well getting a shot after just one pro fight but to get another straight after? I think the attempt at huge publicity for getting a title so early has tried and failed. Whilst it would still be a great acheivement to pick up a strap in his third pro fight, it just makes a complete mockery of the rankings (which were hardly transparent and fair as it was) and it doesn't quite have the same impact now that he's been beaten by Salido.
Secondly, I view this as quite a pick'em. People have been crying out for Russell to step up his competition for a long time having showed such obvious talent early in his career.
Is Lomachenko in real danger here of having (even more of) a circus of a career after only 3 fights? If he loses, do people on here think that his promoter will finally see sense and build him up with a few learning fights against slightly lesser fights.......maybe even get him to double figures in the pro-ranks before getting him another shot?

Lomo is too confident.......if he loses again it could be a real crach and burn.
Why doesn't he build to a title in his 10th fight?

Alexander v Soto-Karass is on the card as well as Guerrero's return to the ring. Should be an interesting card that could provide plenty of answers as to where certain divisions are at the mo.

Depends who The Ghost is fighting to gauge where he is at i suppose.
Alexander vs Soto is a goof scrap, think Alexander grabs a decision.
Guerrero vs Ortiz would be good. They had some bad blood not so long ago.
Ortiz needs a win and The Ghost needs to get himself back on the map with a good name.

Robert Guerrero is fighting Japanese slugger Yoshihiro Kamegai, 24(21 KO )-1-1.
Kamegai has previously fought in the USA three times. 1-1-1
Richard Schaefer said he wants Guerrero and Alexander to fight each other later in the year, should both win their respective bouts.

Haven't seen Russell for a couple of fights, or Lomachenko as a pro, but I'd still be pretty shocked if Vasyl wins.
