First topic message reminder :

Seems as though Joe Cole has been released by West Ham, might be a solid bargain for a lower league team if hes prepared to drop

We've released Joey, Collison and Linda. Gutted for Collison, injury ruined him just as he looked our classiest midfielder. Hope he gets a chance at a decent Championship club.

Noise is that we've agreed a loan deal for Niang of Milan with an option to buy. 300k loan and then 5m if it goes permanent. Also linked with Seb Larsson. Can't see why we'd bother.

Lampard released  Laugh

United won't release Evra or allow him to leave until Shaw is confirmed. DZ, I remember reading that Niang was the next big thing a few years back, just found it difficult behind Balotelli. That could be a steal.

Is that true? Why would he sign, if Shaw was coming? Shaw only would sign, if he was guaranteed first team action. I think we know what this means.... picard

Football is a squad game, we do still need back up players something Evra would be if Shaw signs.

Depends if it's true he has a clause about appearances etc.

If we've initiated it doesn't sound good for shaw coming in.

All this slating of United is laughable. I'm not expecting anything until July, whilst LVG is at the World Cup.

He'll sign what he needs.

According to this Lampard and Cole will be released by Chelsea.

I'm guessing they haven't given them a concrete offer yet. I think the players will be allowed to negotiate with other clubs in England at the start of June if they haven't reached an agreement.

Considering it's only been a couple of days since Van Gaal was announced as the manager, I really see no reason why there should be any concern... yet.

It'll all hinge on whether Palace meet our price, they've apparently already bid £5 million, but I'd imagine we'd want near to double that.

Ruddy has said he's happy to stay unless the club tell him otherwise, so its all in Palace's hands. I think they meet our price, they get him

Tbh don't know why they don't just keep Speroni, he's just as good

Signed a four year deal in October of 2013.

We rejected 8m + a player from Chelski last summer.

Perhaps following his first season they may have got that; hardly played the year after and wasn't particularly impressive this year in my opinion. I would imagine £6.5/7 mill would do it.

If Norwich don't need to sell and Ruddy has a year to kill before he needs to be in the Prem for international football consideration then I can't see it being done without a fee a bit above his worth

If we rejected what we did last summer, when there would've been concerns fitness wise, I don't think we'll take less this summer after he's had a solid if unspectacular year coming off the long term injury

At the end of the day we have no need, or desire to sell him

Especially as I think they'll make a little money off a couple more dispensable players first. It depends on ambition, but keeper is the spot you can get away with a year in the champ. Clubs don't desperately need to sell with relegation, as long as they aren't run like a mental then the parachute payments and contract clauses mean it's not a killer

And as we've stated many times the players all had relegation clauses, and we're financially sound. Our chairman has said we could sell nobody and be fine this season financially, but obviously some will go.

Bassong, Fer, RVW, potentially Olsson, Snodgrass are ones I expect to leave.

David Luiz passes medical in Brazil & it's a deal for around £40m.

Loic Remy in discussions with both Arsenal & Liverpool.

Could it have a knock on effect?
Other clubs see a defender like Luiz goes for 50m and think the centre back that they have that was attracting interest and 15m seemed a good offer a few days ago, well now they could try for double that. Has the Luiz deal inflated the market price?

I guess it depends on how much cash teams have got to play with. From Chelsea's point of view if they were to go for another centre half, they'd probably be expected to pay more in this window.

Would imagine if we sell him we'll either hand the gloves to Bunn or young Declan Rudd (impressed on loan at Preston this season)

Both more than capable
