Brandon Rios vs Diego Chaves
Rios (31(24KO)-2-1)will make his return against against Argentine slugger Diego Chaves (23(19KO)-1(1KO).
Fight is at welterweight, after Rios' proposed fight with WBO super lightweight champion Ruslan Provodnikov fell through as Rios couldn't make the 140lbs limit.
Rios' power hasn't really carried up to 147, and he's on the back on a two fight lose streak.
Chaves is coming of a stoppage lose to Keith Thurman.
Rios can't afford another defeat, but I'm backing Chaves to become the first man to KO Rios.

Rios is a sad fixture at the higher weights. He doesn't have same powerr and is so easy to hit that I fear for his health

Re: Brandon Rios vs Diego Chaves
Looks it's gonna be another war for Rios, seriously how much more of this can his body take
The only footage I saw of Chaves was highlights against Thurman where he showed he is quite one dimensional but has a great chin and heavy hands
Can Rios' chin hold up to a war with a legit welter, he doesn't have great power at 147 himself. You could see he struggled with alvarados size and he will do the same with chaves
war after war after war, not sure his chin can hold up, chaves may be good for the ko

Rios is a terrible boxer, got by on being a ridiculously big Lightweight and now that size advantage is gone he is very very average. I've not seen Chaves but would guess he's been picked to stand in front of Rios as anyone who moves outboxes him at Welterweight.

Chaves is a very smart boxer, good quick and technical and hits very hard, wouldn't be surprised to see Rios stopped in this one, great fight.
But has to be said, Rios' recent 3 fights he must have taken more punishment than most take in an entire career.
Knocked about by Manny.
Knocked about by Alvarado.
Won an absolute war against Alvarado.

Re: Brandon Rios vs Diego Chaves
The fight against PacMan might've taken it all from Rios.
Rios struggled to make the 147lbs limit. Took a weight loss drug to barely make the weight.
PacMan beat the hell out of him for 12 rounds, IMO Bobby Garcia should've thrown in the towel after 6 rounds, as Rios was taking too much punishment.
Anyone with speed and movement will trouble Rios, as he's a walk forward fighter and defends with his face. Not a smart move in the boxing business.
Abril schooled him.
Alvarado in the rematch boxed Rios' ears off in the second half of the fight.
PacMan basically humiliated Rios.
I don't see Rios having anything left.
