Re: MEP Elections
To be fair to Champers, he has a point. There are some crazies online. I'm currently trying to find the name of a lass I met this morning when I went into uni. She doesn't have the same course as me (I'm studying part time), and I couldn't remember her name, only her surname, so I hacked into my mate's student profile, as I know his password, and he has the same course as her. From there I had to find a person who did the assignment who matches her name and initials, and then invited found the two possible candidates on Facebook, where I got their cell numbers. All rather taxing, and I still haven't figured out how I'm going to accidentally run into her. Safe to say when I tell our kids the story of how I met their mother, the story will only pick up after the serendipitous second sighting.

If over seven out of every ten plan to vote UKIP again next year, then it's a good thing, as it underlines that in the eyes of most people, a vote for UKIP is not a mere protest vote.

Re: MEP Elections
I suppose actively stalking someone is taking things a bit far even for his standards.
I think it's a good thing for UKIP too (although they need to get rid of Neil Hamilton,) and shows that they're talking about the main issue that people are worried about. I've gone over a few articles lately and what people don't realise is that most people want tighter controlled immigration (pull your finger out rowles ) not No immigration.
I'm interested to see Rodders, Truss's and 4L's take on this too.

Re: MEP Elections
Well given how densely populated the United Kingdom is, I believe our population will overtake the more spacious country of France in good time, plus with regards to what the situation is in North Africa, where migrants, with a culture alien and incompatible to our own British way of life, are flooding into Italy, mostly, and making the long road to Calais where they try to gain safe passage to Britain.
We cannot put a handle on that, nor it seems can France, because of the ludricous idea of having open borders between EU member states.
Britain's population grows, our services, such as housing, schools and healthcare, become tightly squeezed, and our way of life is further eroded, after years and decades of no real immigration policy. This will continue until several British towns and cities are not really "British"; think I'm scaremongering? Please take a trip to Birmingham, Bradford, Leicester, Luton or London, particularly the ghetto areas.
People in power are scared to speak out against the wave of vast, uncontrolled immigration, because you'll be branded a "racist" a "xenophobe" or maybe just a good old "Islamophobe", by the eternally-offended, politically correct, left-wing people that infest this island.
Britain has needed to get a real handle on immigration since New Labour left office; she hasn't, under the Coalition, and now she is at breaking point. I can't fathom how great the disaster will be in 25 years time or so, when the population is nosing towards 70 million, and civil divides are greater than they are now because of the clash of cultures.
Controlled immigration, integration of immigrants to our culture and repatriation of illegal immigrants is the only way if Britain is to survive.
Yep, call me a racist, I'm not going to care.

Still yet to see a single person on here say why they are against controlled immigration!
8/10 in England 7/10 in Scotland in recent polls support controlled immigration. Have not seen either for Wales/NI. But i imagine that they would be similar
So the high majority agree with UKIP?
Personally, i just want out of the EU, and thus that would be just one of the benefits.

A Labour u-turn on uncontrolled immigration Have they not learned?
Labour in-fighting, squabbling and general lack of policy direction. What a terrible pity. Anyone would think they had a leader who lacked credibility or any level of leadership ability.

Re: MEP Elections
Labour chasing their tails here, no rhyme nor reason, nor logic to their statements.
Shall we call them a bigoted, racist, xenophobic, neo fascist party? After all that is what they (and the BBC) called UKIP every night for three weeks before the Local/ Euro elections?
Labour/Ed Milliband shouldn't be toughening their immigration policy only because of UKIP or perceived public opinion. They should be doing it because they believe/know themselves that it's better for the UK. They should be able to see the damaging results of uncontrolled immigration and understand the common sense of controlled immigration. Likewise with the excessive power of the EU. By changing policy only as a reaction, it appears they still don't get it.

Re: MEP Elections
The signs are looking good for UKIP: the overwhelming majority of those who voted UKIP on May 22 will do so again in 2015, the polls for Newark are fairly close, and Farage is working out the game-plan for the General Election.
A grammar school in every town, increasing the tax-free earnings threshold by nearly £3,000, scrapping the top rate of tax, and targeting up to 36 seats. More on the party's manifesto (the so-called one policy party ) will be revealed in Doncaster in September.
Love you Nigel!

It is great watching the Labour Party go into meltdown about immigration, Labour have to choose between their pro immigration city dwelling immigrant voters & their traditional Northern working class voters who want immigration reduced. They can't unite both & without both they won't win in 2015, so it's dancing on the head of a pin time for Miliband.

Meltdown ????

Economy
Health
Education............You'll find immigration comes way down the list at GE's...

Of course it is not. Who wants NO immigration?
Miliband and Labour know that short of pulling out of the EU there isn't a damn thing they can do about immigration; Cameron knows that he can't offer anything specific in the way of policies to address the issue, because, the moment he does it will become apparent that no such policy is achievable - because of the EU. And neither he nor Labour want out of the EU.
So in essence, they both know there is a problem that voters are furious about, and they both know that they can't fix it short of leaving the EU.
So if you're a voter whose top issue is immigration, and you look at these two sets of bumholes flailing about trying to craft a response to something they 1) can't, and 2) don't want to respond to . . .
Who does that leave you with?
First they ignore you,
Then they laugh at you,
Then they fight you,
Then you win...

Immigration may be a big subject for you..................But for the majority of people they want to know If they will have Job security....What their standard of living will be.......The standard of their kids education..........Access to healthcare..........
You think everybody who voted for UKIP ...voted because of Europe and Immigration.................You're deluded..
I suppose you think everybody used to vote for the Lib Dems because they loved the policies .........Nope they did because they were the party of protest....
and they aren't anymore because they are in Government........So who is the protest party now...Yep UKIP............
UKIP will get wiped next year when it MATTERS............

I think a few will be getting a big dose of reality after the GE.
UKIP gaining LibLabCon voters is only likely to increase.
People are concerned about:
their housing
their children's education
their imploding health services
their diminishing employment opportunities
All being damaged by EU polices.
GIVE THE REFERENDUM.

Much will depend at the general election on how far by then UKIP have actually developed an effective infrastructure, party discipline, a range of credible spokespeople and coherent policies. They have a fair way to go on that front...

Hi Ch. These things will be forthcoming over the months. Farage and his advisors have already and will continue to bring in top people who are both political and MSM savvy. On the policy front, the new manifesto is being drawn up and will be launched in Ed Miliband's seat of Doncaster in September UKIP also react much quicker to disipline issues than LibLabCon. They have of course made mistakes but will now become more professional as time goes on.
Much will also depend on how LibLabCon react over the months and whether or not they start to genuinely listen to their voters concerns. The only way that this can really happen is by being given a referendum. That is what the majority want.
Token gestures/words will lose LibLabCon even more votes as will two week u-turns that we have just seen from Labour!
