Jesus christ, what is it with Froch vs Groves cards and bad stoppages. That was dreadful.

That was terrible for two reasons the stoppage but also the fact that degale was not in a neutral corner during the count

Said it before and I'll say it again. De Gale beats groves and froch handily.
sensational performance on the big stage in which was he supposed toughest fight yet.
clearly not. Dominant display.

Re: Tonights Action *Spoilers*
Poopie stoppage again! Legs buckled but degale missed next two' fair play degale; jumped on him when he hasn't in the past: still see major weaknesses in him though which were there against groves.

I've watched enough boxing to know when somebody is vulnerable to the wide left which suggested he wasn't getting walked down ever.

Great knock down combination by Degale but thought that stoppage was a bit early. Chunky has a habit of pulling back when just on the verge of knocking someone out.
He had his gloves up and was moving away, in control. Stoppage was a bit early. Should have given him a chance.

First ever Degale non-snoozefest. Still comes across as a naughty naughty boy in the interview.

Looks like owen was right. Gonzalez tried to walk degale down, knew he couldnt win at distance....but didnt realise he couldnt win inside either. Great first knock down, stoppage was slightly premature for me (it was coming but still premature). At least I think it was, I was distracted, the mrs andmother in law were serving the takeaway.

Was the best I've seen Degale look, was sitting down on his punches and the power looked to be back.

You dont sit down on your punches when your back is on the ropes. You throw what you can... you havent got a clue hammer. Xitting down on shots is what you in center ring with proper foundation. Do you even know what sit down on punches mean. Id rather be emore alias than someone who feigns understanding.

You can sit down on your punches in any part of the ring, he wasn't on the ropes when he dropped him.

Agree. It wasn't a great performance by Mitchell though. There are times he looks the real deal. But, he just doesn't have the temperament. A small minded Muppet who thinks selling £10 wraps is more important than preparing for a world title.

UK boxing. Home of the soft stoppage which favours the home fighter. Its embarrassing to watch. The timing is just god awful. If you are going to stop it then stop it when the guy is on his arse. Not when he is half recovered and his opponent has missed three punches.
Call me bloodthirsty but I want to see knockouts and proper finishes. Not that kind of crap.

Thought Degale was good, did not mess about this time and showed he is not the feather puncher people keep saying, would love to see him against Froch or Groves 2.
Happy for him and a good night to do it.

Re: Tonights Action *Spoilers*
I was under the impression to sit down on your shots is just a case of having both feet firmly on the ground when you throw a punch, which can be done anywhere you are able to stand... Degale throws from allot of angles and fast combinations so does not always sit down on his shots but does so now and again and clearly had this guy very hurt.
