Now that's much better by Groves, a fantastic 7th round for him.
Froch on the defensive slightly.

Re: Tonights Action *Spoilers*
I have to admit I didnt think froch coukd outbox groves. Great control, dictating the pace with the jab and disciplined in the flurries, gets his punches off, not getting carried away and stepping off and starting again.....well up untill that last round. Totally different tactics from groves, is this part of a plan. Opposite to the last fight...great right and strong in the first half in fight number one....but great with the left and stronger in the last portion in number 2?

Groves demolished. End of. That closes the first fight that Froch just simply didn't train hard enough last time.

Commentators are so annoying, why do they insist each round has to have one fighter that's terrible and one that is perfect...sometimes two fighters just fight

You have to credit Froch. He has the knack of finding something when he most needs it.

Re: Tonights Action *Spoilers*
That's annoys me though! No class from Froch at all! After claiming to be an international superstar etc. that's why I can't warm to him. But fair play rewrote the script then credit where it's due.
Re: Tonights Action *Spoilers*
Still wish Groves had won. Froch was such a poor winner last time.
Groves can come back. He should have fought like the first fight only more measured.

What a right hand! Absolute raw beauty.
Shades of Lewis-Rahman right there.
Still the Sheriff of Nottingham! Well done Cobra.
Hope Groves is OK; unlike one childish poster on this board.

Watt has the reading of the fight all wrong. They wanted a more disciplined Groves who would pace himself and he did. But still expected him to bash Froch all over the place. There wasnt much wrong with Groves boxing at all. He got wiped out by a peach but clearly he was boxing and well and very much in the fight until the the last punch.

Paulie saying Froch should retire it's not going to be better.
Froch will head off to Vegas and get his ass handed to him by Ward if DeGale doesn't do it 1st.

Credit to Groves too, against anyone else some of the shots he landed would have turned the fight but that shot was a thing of beauty.

To a degree, I agree. Measured doesn't necessarily mean he had to stand off as he did. I think he needed to simply be more efficient.
In the end it didn't matter. That was a peach. But Carl was a indignant t**t last time. He's a bit better tonight. But, he's still a t**t.

Great shot, right on the money. Right when the flow of the fight was going against him. To all those who were watching this thinking froch was dominating the fight, and it proves he wasn't right for the first fight... Watch it again without the commentary. There was nothing in the fight, groves just had a twelve round strategy.

Re: Tonights Action *Spoilers*
So much more classy from groves! That's why Froch should have done first time round! Groves has a lot to move forward to! I'm sorry but regardless of what anyone says that was classy from groves!
Look at the way groves accepted defeat in comparison. That's why people couldn't get behind Froch because he wouldn't accept he was simply outboxed last time.
Fair play Froch he out did groves which I didn't call. I had it even up till the stoppage but Froch got the stoppage...just wish he have him more credit first time round.

A very difficult fight to score, had it 5-3 to Froch but could easily be a draw. I wouldn't say Froch was dominating but he was dictating the pace of the fight and the fact he was doing immeasurably better than first time out gives the wrong impression.

What ever sympathy I had for Froch, and I had a lot because he has been massively under rated, he has proved what a classless plank he is.
Lets have a 3rd fight and I'll be baying for Groves to win.

Re: Tonights Action *Spoilers*
Had it 5-2 to Froch.........Groves tried to steal the fight and didn't do enough......
Knew it wouldn't live up to the hype as both were wise from the first encounter....
Best Man won........
80,000 to small arena's for Groves...............Pick Degale to beat him after that !!
Froch credit to British boxing............Well done !!
Bossed him from the start...kudos.......
No third fight needed Happy.............Beat him twice !!

Re: Tonights Action *Spoilers*
I had Froch marginally in front at the time of the KO. It seemed that he was starting to turn the screw, before Groves came back with that massive 7th round.
Then one sweet right hand and it's goodnight Wembley...and possibly goodnight to Froch's career - he'll surely retire now? Nothing left to prove, Ward is quite a way ahead of him ability-wise, and it'll be a nice victory to retire on.
