Interesting article on skysports about Froch saying he needs to combat his nerves!

Given his superstar status wouldn't imagine he would have any at this point in his career! Certainly not enough to have to control them!

I got it 7/3 to Maduma. Some close ones though. Maduma won't get a fair shake.

What an odd finish. I didn't think the punch looked that hard but Maduma simply seemed to lose his legs. Exhaustion and punch, maybe?

Not the best finish by Mitchell but the ref was right.

Referee stopped that because when he reached for the rope he missed and stumbled, made his condition look a lot worse than it was.

Agree with the stoppage. Looked gone in the legs. Exhausted possibly.

Glad Paulie is commentating as well.

Mitchell is simply an average fighter at very best. No more and no less. Gets eaten at world level (see vs Burns and Katsidis).

Looking fo forward to De Gale to see how he looks.

Maduma's legs had gone and he was there to be hit. The ref had to protect him from himself. It was a good stoppage.

Unless anybody out there can tell me how they thought, given how his legs went, he was going to come back?

Poor stoppage...what does that make the Froch v groves I stoppage mind Wink

Credit to Mitchell stuck in there; two years ago odd he wouldn't have I don't think. Showed that he's just short of world class still though; easy to frustrate and figure out.

Just to point out, Maduma also failed to raise his hands to the ref after the standing 8.

It was odd, but his legs had gone and he didn't seem to be defending himself. So, it was a fair stoppage.

Missing the ropes when he was trying to steady himself, certainly didn't help.
