Rio de Janiero - 2014 Fifa World Cup Thread
First topic message reminder :
Tbf this isn't the same Costa that's been playing for Atletico, a long hard season and a few injuries catching up with him here I thinkowen10ozzy wrote:Diego Costa for £32 million isn't looking to hot either...Chelsea could be looking at the 3 most expensive striker flops in history in Shevchenko, Torres and now Costa.
He lacks pace and mobility which for me are essential in the premiership.

we nearly had a shock in the last game, I fancy one in this game. Ghana 8-1 to win.

Maybe it's just me... but this German teams tactic seems like a tweaked rendition of Guardiballa.

I hope that one day, in the not too distant future, I will finally see the value in Sami Khedira.

Hope Germany turn in on second half.
Fearing for knock out stages now, most teams have played 2 games and quite frankly not much to get excited about.

If there was a world cup every year, Klose would be the greatest player in the history of football. Unreal, it's like a superpower.

Re: Rio de Janiero - 2014 Fifa World Cup Thread
Typical World class striker Klose. That is how you do it. This is why players are defined as World class. No matter what fitness condition, what state of mind or what type of game they are playing in, they always turn up with the goods. Suarez has done, proven his World class status, Klose today, proven it for close to 20 years now in football, still a World class finisher nevertheless and has shown just how good he really is, for his age. Messi proved it today for Argentina, just at the right time. Still Ronaldo to come yet...

If the international game was held in the esteem it is rugby, Klose would be regarded as the greatest player of his generation

Re: Rio de Janiero - 2014 Fifa World Cup Thread
Muller should have taken that with his left foot.
I'm amazed at how many top players can only play with one foot.

Re: Rio de Janiero - 2014 Fifa World Cup Thread
Its not that they can only play with one foot, they just can't be confident enough with what they say isn't their preferred foot, especially when you need to win a game. That's why he went with his right foot. Klose had to be better. After-game injury there for Muller and a Ghana player.
Fantastic game
