Rio de Janiero - 2014 Fifa World Cup Thread
First topic message reminder :
Tbf this isn't the same Costa that's been playing for Atletico, a long hard season and a few injuries catching up with him here I thinkowen10ozzy wrote:Diego Costa for £32 million isn't looking to hot either...Chelsea could be looking at the 3 most expensive striker flops in history in Shevchenko, Torres and now Costa.
He lacks pace and mobility which for me are essential in the premiership.

I had Belgium, Algeria and the USA at 29/1 but have backed Portugal with a fair chunk so either way I'm in profit

29/1??? Looks inviting for sure... Took my earlier predos (Belgium, Algeria, Portugal) at 16/1... Wistfully wish I had bet a little more now

Pretty much threw a free $100 bet in the drain yesterday, betting on a 6-0 Argentina win. Left me a little gunshy for today. Only put what amounts to about $50. Still a win would be roughly a third of what I make a month.

One player in a five metre wide goal who can't even use his hands, five yards out and you find his knee? miss of the tournament.

Field Goal!
He's been pretty rubbish so far, but that's a great goal.

Re: Rio de Janiero - 2014 Fifa World Cup Thread
For two decent sides, they've both got some really awful players. The fact that America's midfield has lasted this long says a lot about their bench.

Yes!! That's what we do.... Unlucky Olly!
I'm off lads see you all in two weeks, hopefully my 8/1 on Argentina, and 9/2 on Nadal come to fruition...
Germany are (almost) certainly going to beat the States, but Portugal/Ghana is a toss up... It's a lively old group

Im sorry Chris, I really thought about it, just seemed so unlikely 90 seconds out. Would probably have got stupid odds as well. Don't think I would have had enough time to enter my bet and pin number.

best thing for the usa is that portugal beat Ghana (excluding a draw of course) because ortugal's goal difference is 5 worse than the USA and if it comes down to GD the USA should go through unless they conceed 5 goals to the USA
