About bloody time...even he couldn't miss that!!
Whatever you do now Roy...do not let the team sit back and defend deep which we usually do!
Sturridge showing why he was kept on!

Re: 2006 Friendly Part 2: England vs Uruguay
bye bye england
100% gerrard's fault. made that rubbish long pass which was stupid, then made that big mistake.
his legs and his judgement were clearly gone from that nasty yellow tackle he made.

The silver lining - Gerrard will be hammered by press and then retire! Now we just need to get rid of Johnson and Rooney and we can actually properly start afresh!

Hart should do better, he didn't make himself very big

Never mind bagging individuals ...this is Uraguay , not Brazil : truth is , England just not good enough , as we feared.
Enjoyed the effort against Italy ; but tonight has been rubbish.

Re: 2006 Friendly Part 2: England vs Uruguay
At the end of the day we didn't take our chances...defended poorly and made to many mistakes. Got the equaliser and then after a couple of minutes of keeping up the tempo just dropped off!
Re: 2006 Friendly Part 2: England vs Uruguay
Rooney's played ok tonight, compared to the rest.

And people mocked me when I said that Uruguay should not be under estimated... England would have been dome in the third game anyways.
Promising future for this young squad but just a tournament too early.

Gerrard, please retire. Roy, please resign. Embarrassing. I don't care Rooney scored, he's been terrible. Suarez was brilliant

Re: 2006 Friendly Part 2: England vs Uruguay
Stevie doesn't like big games does he? Lol. Hey ho. Same old same old. Just not good enough. Poor first touch, no movement, panic defence. I posted in another thread to give Roy till the euros. I dunno tho. Time to look for a young modern approach to tactics etc coach?
