Not had that much fun watching football for a while.

Robben taken the p*1ss out the spanish keeper and central defenders was literally hilarious.

Ha ha, I can honestly say I've never enjoyed a John Travolta film, whereas there are lots of other actors I dislike, Tom Cruise, for example who I've seen in some decent films.

Fair enough, so you can say that all Rod Stewart stuff is crap then, no different from me saying the same about John Travolta, i don't have to make a caveat that someone else might enjoy his stuff every time I state an opinion.

There's actually a lot of people I could say that about, especially in regards to music. Cheryl Cole for a start.

No, the important point is In right and you are wrong!
I guess as I've got older I still dislike lots of stuff but I appreciate why people like it.
You for instance probably want to assassinate One Direction. I watch my daughter and her mates dancing to their stuff and can see everything (most things) are fine as long as some people can enjoy it. Even Chezza Cole.
But not Rod Stewart
Or any Gangsta Rap
Or Ian Poultry.

That's OK, I like that era but not really a war film fan, though I appreciate the "human story".
My top 3 are maybe in no particular order
Withnail and I
The Princess Bride
4 Weddings
Basically they all make me happy.
Films I don't like
Godfather
Blade Runner
Shawshank
I can see why people like them, just not my bag. Especially Blade Runner.

Groundhog Day. That is a great film. The usual suspects also very good. In general over recent years George Clooney has made some brilliant films, dont recall them all though. Syriana and Michael Clayton --I think. Last king of Scotland is also good. Overated films are all the star wars movies.

I dont think ive seen many of tarantino films. I liked pulp fiction. I vaguely recall jackie brown and true romance. I know he was involved in desperado which was good and from dusk till dawn which was bonkers. I think he caters to his fans. But dont think he is Overated.

Guaranteed SPOTY spot now and a a mum of 2 certain to get a lot of housewife votes, especially as youngest is less than a year old.

They struggle because of the amount of money in the premier league. The teams are so wealthy they can afford to buy established players from abroad rather than invest in younger players that need time to develop. Its all about instant gratification, hence the league becomes full of foreign imports and English talent suffers.

Its a woeful spectacle nowadays anyway so hopefully its popularity begins to align itself with the product on offer.

English "talent" is so preposterously over-priced too.
Can't blame a team for buying a more realistically priced Johnathan Foreigner.

I thought Kelly was a bloody good prospect when I saw him. If (and generally it is) local talent is so preposterously overpriced, Kelly for 1.5m is a bargain. Anyone know if it's something off pitch or simply that Rogers doesn't rate him as being able to get near the team?

Thats my point roller. Kelly for 1.5 is crazy, when paying 14 for a promosing young spanish player. I know Kelly had some injuries but he has barely played at liverpool. Its disapointing to see english prospects being shunted to lesser clubs. Same with Rodwell.

Always thought Kelly was an impressive prospect; perhaps he's struggled to recover from his injuries?
Regardless, hope he does well at the Palace.
As for Rodwell, isn't he an object lesson in beware of what you wish for?
He'd've been much better off, as one hopes Barkley will be, staying with Everton.

The Lallana of the past two years has been a fabulous player for Saints; can't see him enjoying anything like the same status for Liverpool. Whose place does he take for starters?

The habit of clubs warehousing players, especially young British prospects, is despicable; bad for the players and bad for their countries.

Iagree re the Rodwell, Barkley comment Kwini. But Lallana is a mature player at 26, its natural he should want a big move for big money and the test of Chanpions League football.
I think he'll play most games for them.
Shaw to Man Utd is another matter, that's a career that could suffer badly especially after an early injury.
Then again in Rooney Man Utd have shown you can buy young English players and make it work.
Arsenal as well, Walcott and Ox show a big club with the right attitude can nurture English talent. City are not that kind of club though.

Problem is (as ever) money. You throw a big fat cheque at what are not much more than kids who have agents acting as advisors that are on a proportion of salary (I presume). I'd guess that good advice (stay here and play and progress) would be supplanted by "go, you're good enough to play and I can get you 40k a week extra at Citeh/Chelski"
