Disappointed in Switzerland. Never really had a go in the way other underdogs did.

US showed that discipline and organisation only takes you so far at this level. Belgium haven't really gotten out of 2nd gear in this tournament so far.

Brazil-Colombia
Holland-Costa Rica
Germany-France
Argentina-Belgium.

Think the pressure will do Brazil in at some stage, but not here. Think they'll sneak past Colombia.
Holland to have too much for Costa Rica.
The upside for Germany is they can't be any worse than they were against Algeria. Coin flip for me this one, I'll edge France.
Fancy Belgium to knock out Argentina. Best defense left in the tournament, offense has to spark at some point right?

Morning all,

Germany, Argentina, Brazil, Holland are the obvious picks for semi finalists. I'd like Colombia or Germany to win it outright.

You can have him, he's dross. Alan Irvine-type dross.

I fancy Colombia, Netherlands, Germany and Belgium.

Argentina were so diabolical yesterday, Alan Hansen probably couldn't sleep for excitement.

Great goal by the States last night too. And what about that free kick (or set play as the Yanks called it...)? Amazing. Michael Bradley is a great CM, whoever has him when I vote is going to win the midfield battle I reckon.

The US fans hate Bradley at this WC.

Anyone else think Danny Murphy was Lawrenson on commentary when he was moaning Belgium were still trying to score.

Tbh I thought the US were pretty poor last night. With some better finishing and a less immense Tim Howard, Belgium probably should've ended up comfortable 3-0 winners. Hazard and De Bruyne were pretty disappointing.

The US don't have much quality but Klinsmann has got the best side possible out of them. They were alright but not amazing because other than Bradley, Howard and Dempsey, the manager has nothing to work with.

i might be around for mafia, not really sure.

GSC - I have meetings 11-12 and 2-4, so either before or between those Smile

Tim Howard was exceptional last night. I really felt sorry for him when Lukaku beat him at the near post. You'd think he'd know that's where Lukaku scores all his goals, having trained with him for a whole year...

Lukaku > Origi

He scored one, Origi scored zero and therefore is a better player.

If only one, then Muller. Euro team for me:

Courtois
Debuchy - Van Buyten - de Vrij - Blind
Pirlo - Pogba
Shaqiri - Muller - Robben
Benzema

How did I miss Javier Zanetti's retirement?

Inter have retired his #4 shirt and appointed him as Vice President of the club. Not bad.

Well I think that's a silly idea, no matter how great a player was you should never retire a number. Number 4 is my favorite number so if I was ever to play for Inter I'd have to refuse their offer purley on the fact that they won't give me the number 4.

You could play in the #44 shirt, in reference to how you're 11x better than Zanetti.

Just a question, because my last name sounds like it could be French and we believe our family may have French family roots, am I allowed to claim that I am part French?

Does that count?

He played less than 45mins in the whole of last season, if Coleman gets injured, they'd play Stones there. Pretty pointless signing, apart from the fact it contributes to their 'came through the academy' quote.

Or I could wear 1±3 like Zamarano did at Inter with the number 9 shirt.

No Miky I'm afraid you can't, I'm not fan of people claiming to be from different parts to sound exotic. You are what you are and be proud of it.

I haven't done it since my lad was born. No point breaking bones when I've got family to look after. There are some attractive girls, but they tend to be a bit mental. Any girl who's into fantasy worlds and dressing up has to be a bit on the crazy side.
