Speaking of getting beaten up, I drove past a huge black guy getting arrested yesterday. And I mean, huge. As in, massive.

There had clearly been a car crash, where his massive 4x4 estate with blacked out windows had ploughed into the side of a small Micra or something. He'd clearly pulled out onto the main road expecting the smaller car to brake, and he didn't.

When I drove past, there were at least 8 coppers having to physically restrain the guy, and they were struggling. He was as built as the British Bulldog, who I met in a gym when I was 8. This guy had veins as thick as rope bursting from his neck. I've never seen a guy need restraining like that.

Meanwhile, a team of four paramedics were dealing with the weedy white guy victim, who was lying in a pool of blood by the side of the road, being put onto a stretcher and clearly in a bad way.

I once did a pill in my younger days when I went to a dance festival outside Leeds. Ended up back at the tent stroking the grass outside and staring at girls breasts.

I've been around my friends when they've taken cocaine, and once when one took MDMA which they tell me is effectively ecstasy. I don't touch the stuff personally because I'm terrified of dying.

One thing they have in common is the person taking them will not shut up for about 8 hours. In Houston, my friend kept me up all night telling me everything about his inner fears, and when I tried to sleep he got in the same bed as me so I couldn't.

One thing I always admired about van Nistelrooy was that everyone knew where he was going to put his penalty, but no-one could stop it because it was so firm and accurate.

We had a ceiling fall down at work once, and it shattered this womans desk and chair.

If she hadn't gotten up to go to the toilet she'd have been flattened. People seem to get so lucky.
