Belgium have not impressed me at all, lack cohesion. I think that under Klinsmann, the USA are tactically superior and will pick Belgium on a counter attack.

I love Chile and it's annoying Greece or Costa Rica will go further, but this World Cup is richer for Brazilians and their passion

No chance Doody, Luiz had the best pen. Keeper guesses right on the Neymar pen, I'd back him to save it... nothing you can do when Luiz hits that from 12 yards

One of my bug bears is when refs don't clamp down on keepers jumping straight off there line before the penalty has been taken, cuts off so much of the goal.

People saying that Neymar's penalty was quality, I disagree. I think once you start your run up, you must take the kick. Keepers have enough problems in penalty shootouts without the staggered run up.

I don't like it and never will.

I just recently watched a 30 30 documentary on the two Escobars and it is very telling in regards to how Columbia became a good team in 1994 and it certainly wasnt honourable in there rise and fall...

I am not sure what is going on today and i hope there football isn't still built from the foundations of the marching powder.

but anyway. I will give them the benefit of the doubt. I personally have no problem with Uruguay , but they are just not a very good team without suraez.

So come on Columbia.

Didn't realise Jose Pekerman is the Colombian coach. Boy did he ever stuff up tactically in the 2006 WC with Brazil.

Already simmering like a curry.

The referee should whip out an early card or two to establish his authority.

Should be two cards for Uruguay already.

I don't care if its the sixth minute, or the sixty-sixth minute, a card is a card.

Didn't think there would be a better goal than Tim Cahill's, it has just been bettered. Should go down as one of the best goals at a World Cup of all time.

Just technically perfect.

It deserves to be the goal that wins this game...it is a goal that would befit a winning strike in any game, in truth.

Colombia are comfortable, composed and in control. Possession and inventiveness come naturally to them.

Uruguay are lacking ambition, and probably fear Colombian crucifixion on the counter.

One more time, though: what a goal by Rodriguez.

Robin Van Persie's goal was technically far superior. The run, the vision, the header. Plenty of strikers in Rodriguez's situation would have done the same. I had have scored goals like that playing park football.

I doubt very many, if any, strikers would have attempted what Van Persie don. Even Thierry Henry and Alan Shearer said they would have took the ball down.
