Belgium have not impressed me at all, lack cohesion. I think that under Klinsmann, the USA are tactically superior and will pick Belgium on a counter attack.

Didn't realise about the searing heat today; that will favour the Dutch even more.

By the way I agree our commentators are rubbish- It was great listening to world cup games and hearing gibberish mixed with the occasional GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

Mexico have settled quicker and seen more of the ball. No great attacking threat just yet , though.

YES! I hate that. When you swing your leg and somebody bends down to put their head below the top of your chest and get a free kick I say to the ref "What am I supposed to do?!"

It's a ridiculous decision every time.

Netherlands just starting to assert their superiority on the ball.

Mexico's attacks have looked thoroughly predictable.

Nederland are massively exposed on the left flank, they have been found out time and time again. Kuyt is not the player you want defending that flank. Only a matter of time I feel.

Now that was a penalty...is the heat affecting the referee's concentration?

Dutch commentators are going mental and calling that a penalty... I think he looked for the penalty instead of going full blood for a shot.

Looked a good tackle in real time, replays show it was a pen, unfortunately the ref don't these slow motion looks

Heat is ridiculous.

Why is Kuyt playing left wing back, just cos he can run a lot?

Impressed with Mexico, think that they have handled the situation and the conditions better than Nederland. Nederland have a lot to do and I would not be surprised to see them go a goal down early in the second half.

If a Brazilian winter world cup is too hot... Qatar is not going to work.

Give them a chance of winning it though, if the athletics is anything to go by, they are going to have 23 best uncapped players money can buy. Might win the whole thing if the passports can be sped up east enough.
