Belgium have not impressed me at all, lack cohesion. I think that under Klinsmann, the USA are tactically superior and will pick Belgium on a counter attack.

I'm with Raf, on first viewing I thought it was a pen. Don't recall Marquez getting anything on the ball.

All the Dutch players seem elated, but Robben has been in an especially good mood all tournament. Might need to check the odds on a Colombia-Netherlands final...

Yu know, I think that Nederland would beat Argentina right now.

Not on that performance. For heaven's sake - they only just squeezed past Australia!

Argentina only squuezed past Iran with a last minute wonder goal. No question Holland have been better than Argentina this tournament, such an overrated team other than Messi.

i was asked by a uruguayan why there was a bad reaction to suarez in the UK.

i first told him most people appreciated his play and that the quality of football is more important than his issues so overall its a positive reaction from non rival fans to liverpool- but its the diving we hate, not the isolated racist slur or the biting or the hand ball in 2010 wc.

He was bemused because he just thought we hated him for other reasons and that diving was a nothing reason to hate or dislike a player!!!- thats the difference between uk and south american fans- diving is part of the game to them

But the irony of robben diving is that he hurdled the most blatant foul in the box and went for the shot.. so look he doesn't allways look for it!

There was contact yes, but this is football, not basketball, contact doesn't equal a foul

That's never a foul, or a pen in a million years. He's conned the ref with a dive, that duty's fav tom Daley couldn't pull off. Sickening

Neymar and Robben, two of the best footballers in the world with so much talent, could be two of the worst divers, cheats, I have ever seen in football.

Suarez goes without saying Wink

Messi is the only truly world class player that I admire.

As for the ref, I thought that the ref tonight (aside from the penalty) was actually very good.

I thought that Webb had a decent game but seemed scared to book the Brazilian players in the first half, especially Neymar and Fernandinho.

Sorry Olly - but if there is contact, that means he's freaking stepping on him. With the ball a metre away. That's a pen. Unless you want the refs handbook to also have degrees of contact with 1-2cm acceptable, but 5-8cm absolutely a foul. It's a late challenge, and a pen. Robben has milked it, yeah, but that's the Game.

It's not pen. The contact if any isn't sufficient to stop his progress.

If it is enough to stop Robben they he needs to eat his weetabix.

It's a clear penalty, Marquez is stupid to put his foot out and i challenge you to find any player in the world in his situation who wouldn't have gone down. Pleased for the Dutch, need to have a few European teams left in the competition.

Then enlighten me as to why it was given? A trip or stepping on someone or knocking legs with someone all fall under impeding in my book.

Mate impeding progress is subjective at best, by that suggestion - a 5'6 player will get more penalties than a 6'3 player... Or a little tug of the shirt of, say, Ronaldo is never a foul..

Greece are a horrible but difficult side to beat. It will either be 1-0 to Costa Rica or 5-0 to Costa Rica. Do not see Greece getting anything here.

I remember when Costa Rica deeply regretted the day they took on England, as they limped to a point.

Or...er...something like that anyway!

If it is 0-0(after 90 mins), there is a pint in it for everyone.

I was in Player de carmen not far from cancun- mexico

I stayed away from 606- it was tough on occasion- but did do some online chatting from my hotel room during the last england world cup game- i was able to stream the england game and england cricket final day of the test on my laptop.

man that was gutting- we lost out on the penultimate ball!! ffs, double whammy- stayed in my room all day lol- the even sader fact was that it was my birthday!
