Belgium have not impressed me at all, lack cohesion. I think that under Klinsmann, the USA are tactically superior and will pick Belgium on a counter attack.

Once Switzerland open up, however, Argentina will take full advantage of their defensive weaknesses on the counter.

Still fancy Argentina to take this in normal time.

If Argentina could cross they'd be out of sight by now.

what team has had a final ball?

Not sure about the quality of these '16' games.

it could just be the searing heat mind as every game has been so close and the intensity has ramped up towards the end of the games.

france/holland and germany ramped it up towards the end of the second half- argentina look a one man team that isnt good enough without his barca team mates.

I think the swiss will do it.

Turns out that Di Maria isn't that good, without being given free reign while teams concentrate on Benzema, Ronaldo and Bale he's ineffectual.

Switzerland have offered nothing apart from abject negativity.

Argentina have thirty minutes to find a brilliant pass, or a moment of magic, and they will be in the quarterfinals.

argentina need a big target man- they could then smash it up to him and have messi running on.

because i cant see any other way they can get messi more into the game.

I still blame the heat- And because of that- The world cup should only ever be played in England.

Mascherano and Gago as a base in that team is perfect. They are all just weirdly flat, plus the Swiss have gone old skool Swiss to block em out

very bad player.

Also surprised Donavan not in the squad.

The entire USA midfield is absolutely awful. They work hard, but constantly give the ball away. Every game so far they could all have been taken off, but there's nobody on the bench (look at how much playing time Zusi has been getting since Altidore's injury).

Bradley looks like an alien.

What was the name of the US player that was at Leeds.

He came out.

Is he decent, how come he's not in the squad.

What of Brek Shea. Not good enough?

Neither team really has a midfield.

Frenetic and frantic, both teams a bit jittery, but no goals yet.
