Wimbledon Day 9
First topic message reminder :
Well let us draw breath from yesterday's results!
What a day of play we have...And I will be at work missing it all! Bollox!
We have on CC
Halep v Lisicki
Murray v Dimitrov
Federer v Wawrinka
On C1
Bouchard v Kerber
Djokovic v Cilic
Raonic v Kyrgios
Who will stand victorious come Sunday?

Re: Wimbledon Day 9
If Stan Wawrinka beats Roger Federer today he'll have beaten the 'top 4' in the space of 4 majors
USO - Murray
AO - Djokovic and Nadal(only man to ever do that)
W - potential Federer.
Looks good on the old CV

Absolutely. Federer has no answer. He has to hang and hope to mess him up.emancipator wrote:Stan is on FIRE!

This is the first time i've seen Fed play this year - and he looks old.
Granted, Stan has come out firing.

Getting blown away by Stan (or a young one) may tell him it's time.emancipator wrote:This is the first time i've seen Fed play this year - and he looks old.

He is stubborn to believe he still has 1 more left in him right.

Remember how easily Fed used to handle the big hitters?
The movement to get in place to play offensively is no longer there. Neither is the speed required to defend well.

Djoko is 4-0 on the 4th set, Cilic still haven't recovered from the 3rd set hangover.

Stan is really looking good.
If he can keep this up then, in my book, he's the favourite for the title.

If not Roger, I'd also love Stan to bag his second major. He doesn't seem to get the credit he deserves for being world #3 and AO champion.emancipator wrote:Stan is really looking good.

What the hell happened to the Federer FH?
It used to be the most deadly shot on tour and now it's more like a rallying stroke at best.
