Who'll win?
2014 Wimbledon Women's Final
Yes, really!!
The wonderful Eugenie Bouchard takes on the.... Shrieking Thing. *Shudders*
If Eugenie wins it could be the start of something very special indeed. If The Thing wins it'll be daylight robbery. (Actually I'll be fair and say that Kvitova did well in 2011 when she had to beat Azarenka and Sharapova in the semis and final respectively)

Hoping for Genie, and I think she'll win. She's very tough.

Daylight robbery? I don't really have a favourite in this one, hard to choose so i'm gonna flip a coin if I can find one.
Bouchard was very nervous in the last game against Halep imagine how she's gonna feel against a former champion..

Would like Bouchard to win, and have voted hence. I want iC to have a Happy Date with Bouchard so he can also help Raonic a bit.
Bouchard (v Halep) was as nervous as Federer (v Wawrinka) in closing the match.
She will be all right, IMVHO. I expect a 3-setter.

You could make a good case out for either of them. Kvitova - big ground strokes, strong serve and a former Wimbledon champion but prone to errors.
Bouchard - good all-round game, plenty of confidence and plays with few UEs. BUT - first GS final. We all remember what happened to Lisicki last year.
I'm going for Bouchard in three but not with great confidence.

Trivia
If Federer wins tomorrow, it'll be the first time two men from the same country have won singles major titles in the same year since whom and what year?

I was going to plump with 2000, but I suddenly remembered Roddick won a Slam.

Yes, it's been a while (fellow countrymen winners). In days of yore it would have happened quite a lot with the Americans and the Australians.
Interestingly, it's only two years since Bouchard won the girls' singles at Wimbledon. OK, she was well over 18, but I doubt whether there have been many times when a junior winner was lining up for the women's final just 24 months later.
