Poor lad. I hope he comes back stronger than ever.

I remember clearly that Chelsea incident, and the papers at the time made it out to be far worse than that. I remember reading that Terry was laughing at Americans right up in their face, that Morris spanked his own arris chanting USA USA, and that Fat Frank was egging them on. Don't recall Frank Sinclair ever being mentioned.

A few years ago my mum was on holiday in Dubai at the same hotel as the Chelsea team, and spent most of the week with JT's girlfriend. She said he and Frank hate the public after that incident, the way they were treated by people afterwards. Now forgive me, but that is entirely their fault!

My dad used to work with a Chelsea fan and they called him shins. That's all I remember apart from the own goals.

All of our club signings are scouted by our scouting team, packages of the player put together by our Head of Scouting for review by our Technical Director and Director of Football Administration. If they like the look of the player, they assess the likely cost of a transfer and wages, plus any other considerations such as visa requirements, then take the whole thing to the manager.

So Irvine would have been sat down with a DVD of Ideye, samples of media coverage of him, social media analysis of his Twitter account, likely impact on transfer and wage budget, then asked "do you want him". The answer was clearly yes, because we only have Victor sodding Anichebe up front as of now  furious

I think it's the forum users who vote and decide tbh, I've read plenty of threads where the mods basically say 'when do you want us to update the PL' and 'what increases/decreases do you think there should be'.

I also see there's a (German text only) management game on there!
