Mottos
Does your club have a motto? If so what is it? If not what would you like as the motto, or what would you like to change yours to?

Re: Mottos
I think the Ospreys one is "Yn Gryfach Gyda'n Gilydd" which is Together We're Stronger.
I think they've had it since the region was formed, so it could probably do with being changed; and also given the Neath dispute

Staggy - There was a conversation on old 606 about the first one. Some things are impossible no matter how brave and/or faithful you are.

Re: Mottos
Like licking your elbows. I'd like to see the whole Munster squad trying to lick their elbows.
I'd say their honesty and passion would get the job done.

Re: Mottos
I find the Osprey's motto fairly ironic given the disharmony within the region's clubs!
Still, it's a worthy sentiment to aspire to.

I've never seen the brave and faithful eat their own head.
Leinster have a few marketing slogans but no club motto as such.
Blue Magic
12 County Army
Blue Storm Rising
etc.

Re: Mottos
I wonder how many counties are in the Leinster squad. Only Waterford isn't represented in Munster.
Re: Mottos
For good reason Stag A waterford man wouldn't know a rugby ball if it hit him in the face.Hurling's the big game there.Rugby is growin in Tipp and Kerry both GAA strong holds.Don't know if the same could be said for Blaahland.

Is Waterpark in Waterford? Shoite I thought it was in Limerick!
Yeah, they have an incredibly strong side at all levels and they have many players in Munster underage teams.

Scarlet suggestions:
"gam bwyll bach a bob yn dipyn, mae stwffo gwellt I din gwibedyn" every marathon starts with a step. (literally, it's by taking things a step at a time that you shove a straw up a gnat's bum)
"un llygad ar y tro..." one eye at a time...

Surely BEEEELIEEEEVE! is another? Or was that just Gibbo's motto?

Re: Mottos
I like the Barbarians one:
"Rugby Football is a game for gentlemen in all classes, but for no bad sportsman in any class."
Maybe some of the modern players who have become caught up in their fame should read that once in while.

Men of Gwent is pretty simple, but effective. Even though Gwent is no longer in existence as a County, it does at least give the impression that they are a Regional side.

Re: Mottos
Max Boyce reckons the team should have been named Men of Gwent from the start. He may have a point, although I always thought they would have been called the Gwent Steelemen.

Re: Mottos
Off the top of my head, represented in the Leinster team there is.
Wexford, Wicklow, Louth, Meath, Kildare, Carlow, Westmeath, Dublin.
Which is the same amount of counties represented in the Munster team and leaves, Longford, Offaly, Laois and Kilkenny with no players in the team. The 12 county army in the ad's in the supporters though, not the team.

Aye, we know that like.
Actually your success based on IQ ex academy players is striking. I was being facetious.

If it wasn't for the politics etc in the first place, the Dragons should be the most marketable name. Gwent Steelers was a name I heard banded about before the Dragons was given to us.
