Common assault is not beating people. Basically he's had an argument and the police have got involved.

RIP his career
No way. If the likes of Barton and Lee Bowyer can keep top level clubs interested, then Morrison can too. Look at the Plymouth keeper who killed a family, went back to the club on his release from prison, and has now been made captain.
Football clubs will always take a punt on a player who may harm their reputation if a) he's good enough, and b) they can pay him less as a result. The fact is that they know fans will still hand over cash because they're loyal to the club.
Morrison may be too much of a moron to make the most of his potential, but he's talented enough to have a mediocre premier league career even without any semblance of intelligence or self-control.

Morrison will just end up for some mid tier PL club, which would have probably been his level anyway - sh1tty attitude or not.

Yeah, that wouldnt surprise me either but if he's as talented as some people claim (not me), then he'll probably be worth the risk for an average PL club.

He's barely got a kick in preseason.
Not surprised he wants to move.
Hope we get £20 million or so for him.

not too fussed if hernandez goes if im honest, if he goes spain he will bag for fun but thats the Spanish league for you, doesn't mean he would have been great for us. just see forlan and rossi in that
he just doesnt offer enough all round to warrant a place in our team, its saying something when he's my fourth choice behind wellbeck, who while doesnt have the scoring ability of the pea offers work rate, physicality and pace which helps his team mates massively while hernadez doesnt offer anything in that other than standing offside more often than not

Looks like Jenkinson has passed his medical with us, so that should be a matter of time before official announcement. Guess it'll be a loan with a view to buy.

Never mind my blase about Ravel, appears he's accused of slapping his ex-girlfriend. Those two have had issues before, not sure what it is about the girl but it drives him mad. That and stepping foot in Manchester. Been remanded in jail for a week. Might do him some favours. Probably signals the end of his West Ham career, and probably why the club have had an impromptu meeting today. Sigh. What a summer this is.

Pretty much every manager/coach that's seen him thinks he's got the potential to be a top player. Telling that he couldn't get/stay in our first team at the end of last year though.
Idiot.
Bet even a stint inside won't give him the jolt into action he seems to need.

Carl Jenkinson is done to West Ham on Loan.
Santi or Podolski seem to making way for Juan Quintero of Porto for 15.8m
In hilarious news Danny Rose has signed a 5 year deal at Spurs

Tbf Danny Rose is a decent enough option as 2nd choice LB. Would much prefer him as back up LB than some clown like Monreal, Bertrand etc.

Re: 2014 Summer Transfer Window Thread
Least something good has come out of today. Still not 100% sure but Demel doesnt last 90mins all that often, especially back to back games, and Jenkinson will only play if he is better than Guy (unless Guy gets his chance to go back to Hamburg).
Nice to have two young full backs, and could have a defence that stays together for years with Jenkinson (if turned perm) at 22, Cresswell 24, Tomkins 25 and Reid 26.

Atleti's president has denied that they are interested in Santi or Chicharito, so it looks unlikely that Cazorla's leaving.
Rose news looks even more surprising now that Eric Dier is joining from Sporting Lisbon.

Spurs sign Eric Dier. If he plays even one game in the league for them he is guaranteed an international call up. Might be a very good thing, we need centre backs coming through.

Looks like we have at least held talks with Eto'o but I don't think we'll pay what hes after. Times also reckon we've been quoted £1m for Crouch, which isnt a bad price really. I can see the world of twitter crying out for Sam Allardyce to sign Peter Crouch, they must have been waiting for years

Shame Dier's returning as I'd hoped he'd have helped Gauld acclimatise to Lisbon but agree with you that as soon as he gets a game he'll get mentioned with a call up.

Really hard to tell, not sure if Jenkinson will fly to Germany for our next two pre season games. Whichever one starts against Sampdoria on the 9th must be playing. Cresswell on the otherside is more attacking anyway so if hes similar price then take him. Personally, I'd leave either out for the first game in FF cos Spurs will definitely score.

Re: 2014 Summer Transfer Window Thread
well there usually more long term options and west ham under big sam are normally well organised and will get you a fair few points over the season, i may have a look at cresswell
normally have a very cheap defence in the Barclays one, teams can get battered and you still dont lose points

United need a central defender & the Vidal/Strootman type in midfield, before contemplating extravagant moves for another attacking player. From what I've seen of United, they need actual players that know how to play this LVG system.
Apparently. we (NUFC) are entering talks with Remy tomorrow. Also, is RVW on his way to St. Etienne on loan?

Rumours we've got Facundo Ferreyra on loan from Shakhtar. I'm guessing if Loic talks fail, this is our 'cheap' fall back option. Not sure what to make of that one.

I wouldn't particularly be happy going in with just Cisse, Riviere, Perez & Chucky. I think we need a big statement signing, who's proven in this league. Everton have done it with Lukaku, we should follow suit with Remy. If you actually look at the finances, we've actually spent nothing, if you take into account the Cabaye & Debuchy deals.
