Fury vs BBBoC
The Traveller has also threatened to quit the UK and fight out of Ireland because he is sick of British boxing’s bigwigs.
Fury claims he will snub attempts by the British Boxing Board of Control to haul him before them next month to answer a misconduct charge.
The unbeaten heavyweight says he will be on a cruise when his disciplinary case is heard on August 13 and that he will apply for an Irish licence if the Board carry out their threat to suspend him.
“Everytime I open my mouth, it seems I get fined or have to go in front of the Board,” said Fury
“I am not going to be told what to do by anybody. I can fight in Ireland and I can have a BUI licence because I have already had one before.
“So, if they want to ban me and keep being fools, I will just go and get a BUI licence and box out of Ireland, where I am already Irish heavyweight champion.
“I am on holiday on the date of that meeting so I won’t be attending and even if I were in the country, I would not be attending because I am not interested.
“Over my career, I have earned a lot of money and the Board have taken a lot of money off me. They should be happy that I keep earning, so they are going to be sick if I go and get a BUI licence.”
Fury is in trouble for his foul-mouthed abuse of Chisora at their press conference last week and says he will not tone down his act.
“I won’t change my ways and the Board can do what they want,” he said. “I’m not really interested in them.
“There is plenty more in store from Tyson Fury. So they had better get their charge sheets out and be prepared to write some more.”

Re: Fury vs BBBoC
Let him go and fight in Ireland, despite him chucking a shamrock on his shorts occasionally, if reborn is to be believed the Irish have not exactly taken to Fury as their adopted son. Not sure what Fury’s problem is, don’t swear at press conferences and don’t throw tables about and you will find you don’t get fines and invites to visit the BBBoC, hardly have to be Einstein to work out the correlation there.

Indeed, Just as you don't have to be Einstein to work out, that the extra ticket sales normally justify the likely fines from the boxers perspectives.
I guess when you keep picking up the charges but don't have a purse to pay them from when your fights are cancelled, a minor irritation becomes more of a headache.

How did the haye v chisora fight go down again? They were both suspended by the British board, got Luxembourg licenses, and then fought in England without reprisal? Is that correct the fight was in England wasn't it?
So can fury get an Irish license/renew an Irish license and fight in England? Much the same as any foreign based challenger?

Re: Fury vs BBBoC
I don't see it that Fury has much of a profile if any in Ireland, he hasn't fought here enough. The last Irish fighter to be well known in Ireland was Bernard Dunne, Fury fought on the undercard of the Poonsawat fight and there was a novelty factor to his appearance. Fury struggled badly that night due apparently to an injured hand.
Fighters like John Joe Nevin, Joe Joyce and Andy Lee are much better known than Fury and all three have broken through the stigma attached to travellers. Over the years the Irish have been very bigoted towards travellers with many considering them simply as trouble makers and criminals.
Even Frampton is not overly well known in the South although obviously a rising star in the North.
I think Fury would need to fight out of Ireland to build a fan base. The fact he is essentially English and a traveller are obstacles he would have to get over.

Re: Fury vs BBBoC
Fury needn't worry. Given his recent career path, it's likely that the BBBoC will cancel the meeting due to injury.

Re: Fury vs BBBoC
Little men like Haye and Chisora don't wanna come to Fury, so he needs to lay out the truth...
The BBBoC wants to keep Fury down. They don't want a man like him to have the title because he is not a puppet like that fool Klitschko
Fury should go to Ireland and fight people anytime, anywhere...for nothing!!!

I don't see why not. Frank Warren claimed that it would be a breach of EU law if the BBoBC attempted to block the Haye v Chisora fight taking place in the UK and the BBoBC backed down so I don't see why it would be any different with Fury.
