Question of the Week: Terrorism
First topic message reminder :
It has been 13 years since the war on terror began so the question I want to ask is this: Has the war on terror made the world (most notably western countries) a safer place?

Re: Question of the Week: Terrorism
One of my bigger issues with 9/11 has been the way the buildings collapsed. Just about folded, from heat... Quite remarkable given the extended fireproofing on those buildings. Anyway, forgetting 9/11 conspiracies for a minute, and going back to the OP, well has the world become a better, safer place? Honestly I don't know, at home, I don't think there's been a massive difference... but when I go into Africa, as is my want, I think the changes post 9/11 are massive. Just seems like every second country is fighting a terrorist cell. It's atrocious. Saw this on the Daily Mail today, thought it quite relevant.

Maybe it's been a ticking time bomb anyway, and even without 9/11 there would eventually have come an occasion which shook the very foundations of this world?

Read all that before. Will ignore debunking sites but the rest offer one version opposed to another. BOTH FEASABLE.

Very true Duty, although Conspiracy theories/theorists fascinate me. How far do you have to push something until you finally admit your wrong (or probably wrong.)
Why do they all get so angry when someone won't see the world they see it?
If they put the same effort into doing some good rather than trying to convince everyone else they're wrong they could do some really positive things.

Re: Question of the Week: Terrorism
I could post a hundred articles opposing your views but whats the point.
I'm not trying to convince you I just have my own opinion based on the nature of some administrations in the past and what they have done.
I questioned the reasons for the war in Iraq and called it out as lies from the start when we was bombared with lie after lie in the media and guess what I was right history has proven this. Multiple thousands of people killed off the back of a lie but this is a trivial matter for you. You seem to not be bothered with this fact, it does not disturb you one bit.
So good luck to you.

Stop throwing around the phrase that people don't care, it makes you look like a nutjob that can't accept people don't agree with you

Perhaps OneTwo could turn his mind to philosophy? Several open-ended questions there that I'm sure he would enjoy!

Of course you're not a nutjob; you're just vainly arguing in the face of some overwhelming evidence and logical reason without offering much in return.

All you need is an open mind.
Isn't that the definition of 'gullable'?
And also points to, if anything, a lack of intelligence as you're simply asking questions without identifying answers or providing reasoning.

I attended lectures by one of the world's leading building pathologists and he discredited much of these 'engineers' and their theories as bunkum.

I once attended a lecture and the chief speaker eloquently explained just how the government did in fact mastermind the whole thing.TopHat24/7 wrote:Derbymanc wrote:ONETWOFOREVER wrote:Rowley wrote:What is interesting about Project MKUltra is it was apparently ended in 1973, and the first reports about it appeared in 1974. When I say "attended a lecture", I mean "went to the zoo"
When I say "chief speaker" I mean "monkey in a cage"
When I say "eloquently explained just how the government did in fact mastermind the whole thing" I mean "threw his own sh!t around"

Sounds like you, one minute you argue the BNP are left-wing and the next you come out with this;

It is funny how the reasons for going to war in Iraq in 03 was because they had WMD and could launch an attack against the UK in like 30 mins and then when no WMD's were ever found the reason changed to removing Saddam Hussein who was a dictator and giving democracy to the people of Iraq.
Iraq was a complete failure but at least it highlighted to the British people that we don't need to interfere in foreign countries issues (we should kee our noses out) and the British people put pressure on the government not to invade Syria or take military action against Syria which I have no doubt would have turned into a very messy job where countless lives would have been lost.

Yes well I've never said the BNP were left-wing, but I do know you struggle with reading comprehension, so its perfectly understandable.
I said they had some left-wing policies - which is correct - but their proper designation would still be far-right; a designation that would differ from UKIP, hence my original point.

You should be worried, anyone who feels the need to create a false persona that they are 17 and a homosexual on an internet forum has a lot to worry about.
In fact anyone who pretends that they are a girl on an internet forum has a lot to worry about which is something you did as evidenced by Tophat not knowing what gender you were.

Hasn't it been proven by one of the mods (who went through the thread in question) and your statement that Duty said he was a girl was proven to be false?
At the end of the day who cares anyway unless your trying to get into his pants?

it is one thing telling a lie and getting other people to believe it but it is another thing and a rather worrying thing when you tell a lie and you start to believe your own lies.

From memory, and where I think this came from, is that you were referred to in feminine form by one of the Founders when notfying us that you'd been put on a temporary ban. Nothing derogatory, just something like using 'she' or 'her', which everyone latched on to.
