Anyone a little underwhelmed by the "New Home of European Football" on Sky? They don't seem to have much to fill the channel. They should get some of the other random Euro leagues like Belgium or Portugal and I'd still watch.

It's only Eredivisie and La Liga as far as I can tell, Miky.

That's not quite enough to be calling it the new home of European football. Not for my money. BT have Ligue 1 and Serie A and the CL goes there next season. Interesting times, although as a consumer I'd prefer a solid monopoly so I only have to get 1 subscription.

They will show the CL games on there too whilst they still have them

Yeah, but for one year... It's a bit of a con to people that sign up for the 2 year package with broadband and find out that the CL is actually only there for 50% of the deal.

I'd wager a fair few people aren't aware that Sky have lost the rights and they'll sleepwalk into that deal.

He was alright for Ecuador, but he scored against Switzerland (Senderos/Djourou) and Honduras (I can't even name their defenders). It's hardly slicing open PL defences.

Still, he's the number 1 striker for us by default. Although I do think £12m might be a bit steep for a guy that's played mostly in Mexico.
