Super, Sand and other North east Scotland based golfers...got an email a couple of days ago from Trumps. They're holding an Open on Sat 13th Sept, it's £99 to enter so a great chance to play the track at around half the normal green fee. It just so happens that that is the Saturday at the end of the Tassie. Given that it's unlikely that I'll get to any of the matchplay semis at the Tassie (they get played on the Sat) I think I'll enter as it's only a couple of hours up the coast. Be interesting to see what the CSS and indeed the winning score will be on that one if there's a half decent breeze blowing ;-)

Actually it's £95 not £99. The difference might cover a post round beer :-o

Wow, that's impressive. Might be worth a bash that. I think the residents rate for me is £140 so that's a good saving.

It's an Open Mac...you'd therefore need an active (competitive as it's called these days) handicap to enter :-p

Also, I'm not sure any buses go past Balmedie and it's a LONG walk down the drive.
