First topic message reminder :
such a shame Strootman got injured before the world cup. Think he'd be at the club otherwise. He should have been here last summer along with thiago but we ballsed it up and ended up with fellaini.

Surely sandro and paulinho are better than what spurs have on the pitch?

Phil Dowd another rubbish ref. Clear penalty. If that meant something I would be livid if I was Adebayor.

The Liverpool hate on this forum is brilliant. 3 points bitches!
Henderson was great today. Allen was pretty good too.
Soft pen and i don't like seeing those given but everyone knows you can't put your hands on a player when he's running past you.
3 games against Spurs. 12 - 0.

Balotelli certainly worked harder for the team than I expected, need a bit more sharpness, which will come with games.
My main problem is, and there were hints of it in this game, is that when things aren't going his way he has a tendency of sulking, compared to Suarez who would then just try harder. I want to see Balotelli, even when not getting things done the way he would want to, continuing to put a shift in rather than sulking as it can then end up being like ten men on the pitch.

Great win after Monday's game. 3-0 away from home at a Spurs on a high is a very good result.

Good to see Tottenham brought down to earth. They were not good against us and then spanked a very poor QPR.

Very pleased with our start going into the international break.
Teams we've played are the ones we need to be taking points off.
Needed it to, as we have a tough September.

Re: We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
I think Henderson is Liverpool's most important player, not the best but certainly the most important, think he's irreplaceable by anybody else in the squad which I'm not sure any other player can say they are.
Do think England should consider playing the diamond with Sturridge, Rooney, then Sterling in the ten behind them. The quality of wide players is pretty poor right now for England and that would probably get the best out of the players in the squad as well as getting Sterling and Henderson playing as well as they do at club level. Just need to find somebody to play in the holding role.

On Raheem Sterling: "He was exceptional today. But I had to laugh when he almost scored the fourth. He dribbled through the Spurs defence like Ricky Villa, but his finish was more like Ricky Gervais."
I made no secret of my dislike for Rodgers, but he is definitely winning me round. A big part of that is he's become much better in the media, has stopped saying the bizarre Brent-isms.

Wenger doesn't see him as a striker.
“He is not a real centre-forward,” said Wenger. “He is a striker on the flank or behind the striker, but he is not the target man. He has a role to play, but he likes to come to the ball, he is not the guy who likes to go behind. I see Sanogo and Sanchez as players who are really good at going behind, not Podolski.”

Re: We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
Podolski isn't very good as a CF. He's played there a few times and struggled. He's best on the wing and cutting in. Sanogo though is barely a Championship player.
I find Wenger a real enigma. I honestly have no idea how that man's brain operates anymore. And I don't mean this in a good way.

Fair play to Leicester, I thought they looked knackered but were comfortable in the end.
Arsenal, well - they've been pretty poor in all 3 games.
Defensively the constantly struggled with just bog standard basic attacking play and they didn't create much.
Sanogo, the less said the better.
