We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
First topic message reminder :
such a shame Strootman got injured before the world cup. Think he'd be at the club otherwise. He should have been here last summer along with thiago but we ballsed it up and ended up with fellaini.

You have to say Arsenal have wasted a great opportunity here to beat City, that would have been two losses already for Manchester City which would be a huge blow in them chasing Chelsea.

good save, but Dzeko should really have buried that, unconvincing finish.

arsenal have been getting better game oin game though.
The difference when either jack or Ramsay bosses the midfield is parallels away from when neither are on form. It is a bit strange that neither seem to be on form at the same time though

Arsenal - as always- will concede too many and too easily to really contest a title.
Their games will seldom be boring mind.

Well I suppose you could argue he did with that deft chip.. Only inches away. However he must have heard the Wenger comment, that may have knocked him a bit.

Re: We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
From Sportsmail's Sam Cunningham at St Mary's
'Alan Pardew is getting a mauling from his own fans in the opening 10 minutes. After conceding the opener, chants of 'We want Pardew out' were followed by 'Alan Pardew, it's never your fault' from the travelling Newcastle supporters.'
It's a bad day to be Alan Pardew. Southampton fans start chant of 'You're being sacked in the morning.' Newcastle supporters take over and carry it on. Pardew remains unmoved in the dugout

au revoir Pardew. We waited for the signings & they look bang average. Pulis probably licking his lips at this job opportunity. He won't get no money though, seeing as Ashley is selling at the end of next season. He'll just want the manager to keep us in the EPL, to keep the value of the club as high as possible. What a mess.

Re: We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
That feels about right. Chelsea just couldn't/weren't allowed to settle at all for the first 25 minutes or so, and Swansea were good value for their lead, but Chelsea came steadily back into it, and really dominated the last ten minutes of that half, well-deserved equaliser IMO.
Seems to be a bit of a trend going around of teams trying to wind up Costa, does he have a bit of a reputation?

Some of those are provoked and some react more than what the contact really is. Spanish footballers are dainty butterflies.
Re: We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
He's a bit of an @rse by all accounts but Chelsea fans wont care.
He'll be the difference this season and bag them the PL. Seems to have the knack.

Maybe he should control his temper then cos if he tries it in England he's going to end up with a similar rep to Suarez and refs will crack down on him.

Premier League should crack down on people pushing and shouldering him nowhere near the ball. Coleman did it to him and Costa got booked for shouting at him.
Re: We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
Southampton 3-0 Newcastle - Jack Cork.
If he can't handle a push or shouldering without losing his temper he is in the wrong sport maybe he can go play Netball

A bit of an @rse is an understatement with Costa, in both Brazil and Spain he was the most hated player and not just in a 'he's good so we're jealous' kind of way.

Jeez six already... This Chelsea team isn't even in third yet. It's really only Costa and Fabregas firing proper... Could be flames when Hazard and Oscar find their roles proper.

Costa with his third, this one a real poacher's goal. Dozy defending from Swansea there it has to be said.

I don't know about good signing... but he's made me some money in-play 7/2 to score a second... 11/2 to score a third. Tempted put money on him again for a fourth
