First topic message reminder :
such a shame Strootman got injured before the world cup. Think he'd be at the club otherwise. He should have been here last summer along with thiago but we ballsed it up and ended up with fellaini.

when Chelsea turn on the style they sure look impressive, I know it's only Swansea but...
can't call this Mourinho team boring
You're gonna stroll to the league mate. Too much firepower, even if your defense is slightly creaky

No composure for Hazard to play an easy assist, good at dribbling n quick why can't he make a reasonable pass?

Mignolet, Moreno, Lovren, Sakho, Manquillo, Gerrard, Henderson, Coutinho, Markovic, Lallana, Balotelli.
Sterling is on the bench. Good to see starts for Markovic and Lallana.

To be fair, I don't think Mourinho has had a boring side since other than Chelsea. His Inter team were sometimes workmanlike, but they could turn on the fireboosters proper, and his Madrid team was on another planet with the counterattack.

I am still annoyed he was signed in the first place, he was awful today, looked totally unmotivated which is ridiculous. Most annoying moment was when Markovic was in a good spot to cross but he was on the floor pretending to be hurt for about 2 minutes. He spends half the game stood still it's crazy.

Really, really poor performance. I think Rodgers got the tactics all wrong and despite the problem of defending set pieces clearly being an issue game after game, very little has been done to sort it out. Not a single Liverpool player can be happy with how they played, Balotelli was a disgrace, I really think he needs to buck his ideas up. Hints of it at Tottenham and now it in full force here, he's just a massive baby.

Villa deserved the win, but they were filthy all game. How they only got one booking is beyond me. Senderos should have been off in the first half, could have easily changed the game.
That said Liverpool were dreadful. No pace in the play and constantly allowed Villa to get 11 men behind the ball.

I do think the game would have been totally different had Liverpool not conceded that early goal but no excuse really. The sooner Sturridge gets back the better.

Long way to go but I can only see City being able to trump them.

Aston Villa - defying all footballing logic
A defence containing Alan Hutton, Phillips Senderos and Nathan Baker kept a clean sheet at Liverpool. Mental

Hey, Hutton's not that bad!! If he reproduced his international form at club level he'd be a decent RB for a mid table side.

Re: We Go Again! The 2014/15 Premier League Thread
Or perhaps it's because the more overrated a player by some quarters the more likely a counter argument becomes more noticeable. There is no point arguing that Joey Barton isn't that good, because we know he isn't. A lot of people believe Wilshere is a top class player so the debate happens more, same with Rooney, Welbeck or Carrick over the last couple of years.

Leo Ulloa is bossing this league.
Arsenal were class yesterday, but it was funny in a pub in London yesterday a man in his late 30's crying when Citeh made it 2-2. Bless him.
Palace not beating Burnley at home. Worrying.
Chelsea won't lose a game this season.

Genuinely looking forward to todays game, be good to see how the new players perform and hopefully we win to put us right back in the frame for the top four. Having had a disastrous start we could find ourselves just a point behind both Arsenal and Liverpool if we win.

Maybe, but if someone I am/was in a team with said or did something to a younger sibling, I'd accept the common courtesy of an explanation.

The problem being that an apology is also a kind of admission of guilt and I am sure John Terry still protests his innocence privately.

Shock horror, Rio is slightly peeved that a former international team mate of his racially abused his own brother, let's all make him the bad guy in all this and yet again let the perpetrator off.

Think once legal proceedings started it was difficult for Terry to apologise until that had ended. Once it had ended, he should have apologised to Anton at least, rather than play the victim.
Reading the extract from Ferdinand's autobiography on the BBC I can see why he was peeved, as both Ferdinand's received death threats and racist abuse in the aftermath.
