I like the idea of going to a match at Ravenhill. Belfast's a city I'd love to visit.

I agree on Belfast. I was there for a night in 2005 (on the good old Paddy Wagon All-Ireland bus tour), but spent much of it propping up a bar.
I'd like to get to Thomond too.

I'm not even thinking about next season yet. It's a bit of a bummer trying to plan when you don't know if and where you'll be working in a few months

Kiwi - I think Mick le Chef invited everyone there!
I would love to go to anywhere in Ireland for the rugby next season, I really want to go to an away trip that is further away then Cardiff or Newport!

Feel the tone of this place raising. I am very impressed with the nature and quality of debate so far. Another couple of regs returning to the fold will be even better.

Dreamer,
I would advise Sale but Stockport is awful.
Get yourself over to Ireland I say, especially as I remember you saying you've never been. Dublin is boring. Everyone does it. If the Scarlets game is in Cork, do that one. If not, Belfast would be really good.

Dreamer, I was showing a few friends around belfast last year- was only then I realised how tourist friendly the place has become. It's a great place to visit now.

They're on about the 'special relationship' on the radio. Hogwash, the whole thing. If you know that someone will do anything you ask them to do if you flirt a bit, you'll carry on doing it, won't you?

Troubles tourism, very popular now. But also very important. Black Cab tours have been a big success. If you read only the British and Irish press you'd not know too much about the conflict, it's root causes, and it's complexities. It gives visitors to the city a way to understand what happened- many people outside NI (and quite a few inside) don't understand it.
Plus it's interesting, and you get the story first hand from people who lived through it. It's highly recommended.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Mick TEFC, put some details up in the FB pub please It's tempting but I've got several friends over from NZ in summer so I'm still working out how I juggle annual leave about
Someone put this link up in old 606. Who do Adidas think they're kidding?
http://www.rugbystore.co.uk/collections/allblacks
It'll be black, with the silver fern on one breast, the RWC logo on the other, and a small Adidas badge in the middle. Then there'll be a stylised William Webb-Ellis trophy on one sleeve with "1987" below it. (my predictions are much more accurate than that Rapture bloke, not that that's hard)
Though £65 - means it's still cheaper to buy it in the UK (you're looking at the equivalent of £80-£90 in NZ).
Notch, I took the Black Cab tour in '05, found it very insightful.

I was hoping they'd go with the Red Fern idea- that would have been a hell of a gesture.

As others have mentioned Belfast and The Troubles a bit, interestingly they're talking about sectarianism in Scotland on the radio now. Apparently it's pretty bad up there these days.

One for the Leinster fans:

Notch, I have mixed feelings about the red fern idea - having lived in Christchurch I like it as a gesture but the silver fern is such an important symbol at home in its own right...
Personally, a red stripe on one arm might be more appropriate if they decide to do something.

Bhugerey bollix orse-biscuits fantasmagoricol gobshoite. CHAMPIONS OF EUROPE. Just testing.
Hello from Sunny London. Home to Amsterdam today (ash-cloud permitting) and not a moment too soon. Its just good to get home regs. No matter how good a time was had. And what a time was had.
I have to say that was the best EVER Tour Ive been on. Thanks to the lot of ye for Making It So. Beautiful people, the lot of ye. I had tears (with Cari) before and after it all. Words fail me... which is fairly rare in itself.
Special thanks to Kia and Mell for making us feel at home and minding us in their stunning home. Penfro for organising us like a dream. Cari Kia & Dreamer for helping me Believe.
And Mick Le Chef for sleeping with me when I was too drunk to walk home in the dork. Its true what they say about the French... Tres warm & sexy.
P.S. And of course - for Shane Jennings in turning the game around.

I'm just glad everyone liked The Diff. I suppose I'm rather protective of my home city and I would've been gutted if anyone hated being in it.
Gibbo - I think you'll find McFadden's the Leinster roysh.
Incidentally, I still sound like a teenage boy going through puberty. I've really knackered my voice

Dunno Stag. I suppose it should just be locked up in its own box of memories.
Mick Le Chef has already got the tickets for next year at Twickers. PG it will be as good. It will allow the London-based regs to come along easier. But, for me, personally - that nailed it for all the right reasons.
P.S. Please ask yer Da what pills he is taking. At 50, he looks like your older bro.

Me and Swanny said Papa Staggy looked really good for his age as well, and he wasn't acting like a dad at all if that makes sense. More like one of Staggy's pals.
