Boots? An army barracks doesn't have the amount of boots he does

I think it was your pal that was on about trekking up a mountain in bare feet wasn't it? And I said he must've had feet like an elephant.

Chef and gibbo. Great to see you have had a good time. Was great meeting you chef and me and mickado are hoping that hughie doesn't drink the bottle you gave us as we are going to arrange to get them sent over.
Part one of my worst day over the aoccountants conference went well and my speech seemed to resonate.
Going to relax a few hours before going the dentist

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Penfro - I had to laugh, I took Staggy et al to a chippy on Cowbridge Road and some proper Kaairdiff girls were in there. I was thinking "Oh, don't let them show us up now!" one of them was chatting away to Staggy...then a police officer went and told off two other girls. The shame!
Just saw a photo taken by The Chef of me and Dreamer at the MS and for the life of me I can't remember it being taken! And I was sober!
Good luck at the dentists Micky Teef

Dreamer I must've been traumatised having it taken with a Scarlets fan Like I said on there, it's the only time you'll see an Ospreys and a Scarlets fan looking so cheerful together

Only people to annoy me over in Cardiff were drunk Leinster fans.

Ah you are. And a graceful dancer too!
I think I was ok-ish but only sober Cari can be the judge of that.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
And you didn't fart in public Micky!
From what I could tell, I thought everyone was generally well behaved. Having said that, was it Prop who said there was a punch up near him in the crowd during the match?
I can honestly say that none of the regs are what I'd consider annoying/bad drunks. In fact you were all rather amusing

I saw 2 punch ups in my section....one was a proper bust up and overall about 6 people escorted out!! Must have just been the area i guess.....unless they were all from Cinderford
Micky, I vaguely remember your graceful dancing, one of the only things I can remember from Saturday evening!!

You didn't see me drunk. I am a sleeper though. Which can be just as embarrassing.

Well Prop trouble just follows you around doesn't it?
Only once I saw a punch up at the MS. I was at a Stereophonics gig in 2003. It was one of the worst gigs I've been to, the band were really bad. I think it was just before the band split up for the first time. Anyway, we were stood on the pitch and a bloke stood next to us got punched in the jaw, so we moved away. Shortly afterwards there was about 80 blokes fighting there. I left before the end of the gig anyway.

I think Portnoy is cracking up judging by his recent article. I find his articles hard to read at the best of times though. Not sure if he's trying to have a swipe at everything before 606 goes or what?

I'm a funny drunk I think. I am still pretty embarrassed by Saturday if I'm honest.

Rev me and you had a great drunken chat. He's a funny chap Portnoy. Love to meet him for a pint.
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
I think you're right about Portnoy Rev.
Like I said, all the regs were funny happy drunks. Put it this way, none of you made me feel awkward or afraid, and some drunks do.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Did we Stag? I can't remember a lot after the game really, bar giving Hughie's friend S a load of chops and acting pretty bigheaded (not in a bad way) outside the bar beginning with C.
Oh and having to pinch fags off Hound and Kado (though they were meant to be loans until I went to the garage)

My friends always tell me I'm a very happy drunk, only problem is when I get those hazy parts I don't remember, I hate it when that happens!

I was an awful drunk which is one of the reasons I went teetotal. I don't miss it at all. But like I was saying to someone at the weekend, I don't get preachy about others drinking.

Mick by the way I'll be sending you on the parking instructions today. In other news I have Saturday night with the missus in Roxford Lodge Hotel in Ballsbridge. Easiest way to get there?
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Was funny out though. I was slagging you about being ashamed to wear proper Dragons colours. Then you turned it around on me by pointing out I was wearing a BLUE Munster shirt
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
It's brilliant as ain't it? He looks really asleep to doesn't he?
Big farmers tan on him.
Stag great stuff. If you've just got the address the sat nav will do the rest.
Hmm balls bridge. Are you getting the train?

Mick I've had a look. Dart to Lansdowne will do it.
Cari, to be fair it only worked the once. I got tied down then and never got to try it out again. Would it work on you I wonder?

Kia - in Kerry. He disappears off and comes back hours later. He's hoping I'll do Camino de Santiago with him in Spain. I've done it before and he'd love it.

We (Mell and I) are planning the Camino next year or the year after. It depends on whether we do the Silk Route next year or not. We promised ourselves about 20 years ago to do the SR and next year seems like an opportune time.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
If you haven't done it before and want any advise don't hesitate to ask. I walked from León to Santiago de Compostella when we did it and then went out to Finisterré
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
I was hoping to start a bit further east than Leon! One advantage of being "retired" is that you don't have to think about how long you take to do something like that. We have got most of the gear having been heavily involved in expedition training until a few years ago, so quite happy to walk, camp, walk, chat etc etc.
Have you seen the film "The Way"? Take your Dad - it's got Martin Sheen in it, directed by Emilio Estevez. Released a couple of weeks ago. It is about a father who does the Camino. Not on show in this cultural desert which is Bristol

Was at my painting class at GArtmore House yesterday - they have a group staying this week walking the West Highland Way, poor bar stewards. Hope they have good waterproofs and plenty of the 'never say die' spirit.
