Oh lads, I've got a great deal with that hotel at the weekend. It has a sauna and jacuzzi in the bedroom and has a breakfast included in the price. Jackpot!!!

Mick, if you go into the FB Group there should be a link to "Create Event" on the right edge of screen, halfwayish down the page

I really hope we can have another big pub meet. It was so good to meet everyone. I was slightly concerned beforehand that others who had met a few times previously might be (unintentionally) a bit cliquey, but I was made to feel welcome from the start

Luckless I was a bit conscious of it myself. Luckily it never came to pass.

I have to admit that idea didn't occur to me - but I wandered up to the Wembley meet only knowing Hound and his mate A feeling a bit nervous only for it to be a fantastic day out.

I have to confess to feeling a tad nervous wandering into Kiely's with the wife to meet Gibbo and Mickado. I think it was about halfway through the first pint that I realised there was nothing to worry about.

Halfway thru your first pint, Pete? I knew they were ne'erdowells from the moment I clapped eyes on the pair - ideal rugby drinking companions!!
Hobo, any chance we could have a <friedegg> smiley pls? I really miss it!

Asbo - it's about time you gave up the fried eggs. Your cholestrol must be through the roof by now!
My first meet was easy - it was only Penfro and his other half.

Oi, oi gang. How's it going?
For a company bash, today's event was pretty good. We had two excellent guest speakers, one of whom was Sue Stockdale; the first British woman to reach the magnetic North Pole.
After lunch there were loads of daft competive games. Such as motorised beer keg racing and blind shepherding - feicen hilarious (where was Glas when we needed him). A bleedin dog can understand 'whistle' commands, but blindfolfed humans? Not a feicen chance; we were wandering about all over the place.

Good news; I submitted my composition portfolio today- almost my last deadline of this degree
Bad news; I slipped yesterday in the bathroom on the wet tiled floor, fell pretty badly. I think I've bruised or mildly fractured my coccyx. I've been in some pain and discomfort all day!

Notch - I bruised my coccyx when I was younger I had to lay on my side for three weeks and take prescription painkillers. It was a nightmare.

I'm fairly sure I'm not as badly off as that Cari. I'm not in THAT much pain. Enough to be annoying and sore all day but I wouldn't need painkillers.
Plenty of padding see.

The secret is not to get annoyed. Don't shout at the 'dog'. Talk in a calm and rational voice. It's not any more effective but you don't raise your blood pressure quite as much.
Notch, we are like brothers in arms. My tail has been giving me gyp all week. My Physio has given me some stretches that have helped (eventually). Get yourself to a Physio pronto. You'll thank me in two or three days time.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
That doesn't sound too good there Notch. Hope it clears up soon because an injury like that restricts so many things you take for granted.
Cari - with that game you have to imagine 3 or 4 pairs of blindfolded 'human sheep' with individual 'shepherds' trying to guide their 'sheep' round the same course at the same time only using whistle commands. And then get their 'sheep' into a different pen to the others.
I can't wait to see the videos that were taken

One for the Wall
https://www.606v2.com/t5595-super-xv-round-15-preview#124563 (work in progress admittedly).
Notch, I managed to bruise my tailbone in time for Xmas 2009 (Tiled Buddhist temple steps plus Sri Lankan monsoon rain plus flipflops are not a good mix). 6 hours in a minivan on Sri Lankan roads the next day was awful. And the 12 hour flight a week later was worse.
I've just heard from my teammates last night. Turns out our other defender fractured her radius, so I'm definitely getting no sympathy for the hand and hamstring.

Risca - I just watched that bit about Richard Parks, it's amazing what he's managed to achieve so far, and what he could possibly still go on to do. Fair play to him, it really is incredible.
And in other news I have a brand new shiny tv
Managed to set it all up okay, my only moment of was when I couldn't find S4C! It's hidden away at channel 800 or something ridiculous like that!

Yeah, they didn't set Nixon and Frost or the Damned United there though did they?
I suppose it's the contrast between the subject matter and the entirely godless nature of the setting makes for great art.
