I do have munster jerseys and lots of other ones. I did collect them and wanted to see Munster do good when we were out or anything but no I haven't jumped on the band wagon with regards leinster.

I hopped on the Leinster bandwagon when they beat Toulouse. Never watched much rugby before that really, wasn’t brought up with it or didn’t play it in school. Bought my first season ticket the year we won the ML, but the year before that we were gash, so it’s not like I joined off the back of us winning anything. Sure we all have to start somewhere!

Rev, think you’re right, slightly regretting the shirt swap, should have let Aonghus do it as he was the one that engaged the saints fan in conversation initially. Still though, I’m glad I got everyone to sign it and it will be a great memento of the day. Just have to buy my favourite one again now!

I think it was a worthwhile swap from a momento point of view MIckado. financially you had your pants pulled down that's for sure.

kado at elast you didn't swap it for a top that's too big for you like I managed to do!! Luckily Glaws are selling last season's tops for £25 so come 23rd June I'll buy one or when my expenses gets paid!!

In all seriousness I did own a Munster shirt back in the days when I used to buy different club shirts. It was a Canterbury one and I went through a bit of a phase of loving Canterbury gear. Then it was Kooga. Nowadays it's just Dragons and Wales shirts and I'll probably buy an RAF one.

And there was me thinking you were taking the urine out of the Dublin accent.

Awh to be fair to Hughie, he was in a kind of supporter's limbo for a while. Trapped between Munster and Leinster...then he saw the light and sold his soul

I can safely say I am not a bandwagon fan. I was raised watching Llanelli/Scarlets. Don't think I became really, really interested in rugby until I was about 8 or so though, but I always remember it being on in the house, and my parents would take us to Stradey Park once every couple of years for a big game, I think it was usually around about Bonfire Night and a game against Swansea or something. I've never known anything different other then being a Scarlet, guess that's the benefit you get from living in such a rugby loving community growing up

Cari, gave them all to charidee bar what I was given off Ryan Jones (2 t-shirts, 1 pair of shorts and a jacket) and last years Bertie Bassett training top. I tend to wear them to the gym while I train up here. I don't wear them at all when I'm back home though.

Fair enough Rev. The training tops aren't always obvious which team they belong to anyway...so you're lucky there.

Kado, in fairness I'd probably have done it too. I wore last seasons Dragons top to Toulouse with the intention of swapping as I didn't want to swap this seasons.

You say with the intention Rev. I presume noone had any interest in your jersey?

I think I probably would have been just as big an Ulster fan if we didn't win the Cup in 1999. My dad started taking me to the games that season, and I'd been to watch my big brother play schools rugby many times. We didn't know Ulster were going to win the Cup at the start of that run.

But that definitely put the seal on it! Couldn't return to soccer after that...

I don't think I would have with Musnter. It was all soccer before I was 12 and my father is from a GAA background. He is only converted to rugby in last 5 years mainly due to me and my brother.

The 1st Marlborough match I went to (my folks were more into participation than spectating and it was an hour's drive from the farm to the ground so I was 17 and the school had the afternoon off) the Marlborough Red Devils lost by 130-odd points to Western Samoa*. Then when I moved to Christchurch the following year Canterbury were struggling in NPC. And of course the Crusaders finished last in the inaugural Super 12 in 1996.

*It was a world record for a 1st class rugby match until the ABs put 150 on Japan in RWC95

A lad I was in school with was so anti bandwagon. He'd like something and then stop liking it when it was popular so that it was only he who liked it.

Probably Micky, though it was a nice one. Somebody had my scabby Afro though, so they're obviously not the rugby aristocrats they pretend to be.

I never had any problems when I lived in Riverside. Well I was hospitalised a few times, but that was just banter.

CARI - I always think of Canton starting at the corner of Cowbridge Road with the 'boundary being Wellington Street. I suppose it's like Roath, a lot of people think it stops at Newport Road, but it actually continues south of there

Heath Street was where I lived in Riverside. It was a dead end, literally and figuratively - although it had a pub called the Mitre, where drinks were cheap.

Is Cardiff actualy a dodgey area? Wouldn't have thought so.

Been an active Leinster fan since the the mid-90's - before our band even had a wagon... and in defence of Huggie - I supported Munster in the HC for years. They really helped make it what it is today. Ireland fan since the 70's. Like Notch, my Dad fueled my interest. I think of him every time I am at a game.

In other news... Dinny Leamy has just found out he will not make the plane to NZ. Jennings rightfully takes his place. Here was his reaction to the news... bit over the top, imo.
